something doesn’t sit right with me about the fact that one of the first things tfatws did was introduce a woman for bucky to date-
i’m not saying this in a “you should or shouldn’t ship this” kind of way, i just mean that it is upsetting to me that one of the first things marvel did was force heterosexuality upon a character that so many queer people identify with (and marvel KNOWS this. they know it)
it just seems like they are actively trying to do everything they possibly can to discredit the notion that bucky possibly could have been queer, which just feels so wrong to me especially considering what they already did to steve
and not even to mention the fact that sebastian stan himself publicly agreed with the criticisms surrounding the bucky & steve ending in endgame
anyway, i’d be so delighted to hear anyone else’s opinions on this !!!
edit: i just want to say that my opinion about this has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that leah is asian! i think i would still feel weird if bucky had gone on that date with anyone, no matter their race or even gender. i just feel a bit strange about how there was absolutely no mention of steve from him (i’m not trying to say this in a ship-way, but it is definitely a fact that bucky and steve had a close bond) even though he has just lost this huge and important person in is life. and also the fact that bucky is 106 years old haha! it’s the same kind of thing with sharon carter. it just feels weird… idk might just be my opinion!!! thank you so much to everyone who responded, i love reading your thoughts too :)
