Just a quick follow-up to the ArtFight topic from earlier.

I’d rather take part in smaller projects instead, like that little art project where I’m drawing Hornet with the fleas on a canvas. Or to the Grimmnet-ShipWeek, I just hope I can participate the way I’m envisioning it v-v

Or I’ll just do my own small projects, since I can plan them according to what my energy and strength allow!

Every year, when Art Fight rolls around, I know I won't be participating, even though, in a way, I’d really like to.

But there are plenty of reasons why I don't take part:

I'm very slowly and have limited energy. I know you can submit sketches or black-and-white drawings, though.

I’d feel bad if I received "Art-Attacks" but couldn't manage to finish a single one myself, even if it were just one or two.

I always forget about Art Fight, so I end up packing July full of other projects! Plus, my birthday is at the beginning of July!

I’m still dealing with an art block, only Hollow Knight stuff works for me right now.

My mental health issues also make it impossible or simply better for me not to participate for various reasons.

But if I were to participate, I’d be on Team Mystery! I love mystery and fantasy, so choosing a team would have been easy for me! UwU

To all the participants: have a great time and show everyone the wonderful diversity of art! Real art by real artists!

🔼 I did'nt know Grimm can make a Solar Flare, lol. I don't remember what happened there. I think, I parried Hornet's attack! Or maybe it was the smash attack. idk... qwq

And here are a few screenshots from the fight against the Nightmare King Grimm. Like I said, taking screenshots against nkg was just a nightmare. He's simply too fast. lol

Maybe I should next time just record the fight. <_< Would be easier for me. Maybe If somebody have interest?

That’s why I usually only made it as far as his first pufferfish phase, it was easier to take screenshots against Troupe Master Grimm. lol

Ouch... it was a pain...

But as you can see, I'm only missing the King of the two of them on Radiants x) If fighting the Grimms weren't so much fun, I wouldn't put myself through this. lol

Screeshot Bulk - Part 1

I had some fun with mods in the Pantheon yesterday x) And I have to say, trying to take screenshots while fighting NKG was a nightmare(hahahahaha XD), lol.

I’d always only make it as far as his first pufferfish phase against him, whereas I actually beat Troupe Master Grimm while taking screenshots. lol

These two screenshots side-by-side make it look like Grimm is about to attack or startle Hornet, but she notices just in time and manages to make him flinch back! 🔽

I kinda like this screenshot. 🔽

Grimm is standing/hide in the shadows, and it looks like he's plotting something or watching us/Hornet. lol

Grimm: "Can you parry that, young lady?" Hornet: *parries* Yep!

I need to play HK again to experience the Troupe scene with the mods x)

But I still want Silksong Hornet in HK qwq I mean, there’s a "Ghost in Pharloon" mod, so why no Hornet in HK? qwq And I thought I’d seen a mod like that once, but... nope. qwq

I actually wanted to put all the screenshots in one post, but I think splitting them up is better so it doesn't look too cluttered.

Next will be Small Hornet vs. Nightmare King Grimm!

Is this some kind of bug or something?

Does anyone know anything about this? Sometimes I get a notification, like a "new entries" or "5 new entries", but when I try to view them, only 3 actually show up.

Even hitting F5 or reloading the page doesn't help. It’s possible someone deleted their post or reblog immediately, that’s certainly a possibility. But it happens quite often, even when I’m actively browsing the site and click "view" right away, I don't see the entry, or I see only a fraction of the number indicated. (It’s not that "adult content" is being hidden from me, I have that feature disabled.)

The same thing happens with activity notifications. I might see, say, 1 notification, but then nothing shows up? Or I see 3, but only 2 are displayed. There was even a time I stumbled upon a comment on one of my posts, yet there hadn't been any notification in my activity feed.

I’ve already cleared my cookies and cache, but that didn't fix the problem either.

Has anyone else noticed this? Or does anyone know if it's a bug? It doesn't bother me too much, it's just irritating!

If I knew it is a bug, I’d certainly feel more at ease XD

I’ve been using Tumblr for years, but for a while I was mostly just a lurker and have only become active again in the last few months. That’s why I’m only noticing it now.

Everything just feels a bit jinxed right now.

I went to a convention the week before last and took last week off work because I’m always totally wiped out after things like that.

I had intended to finish that one fanfic last week, but that didn't happen. I’m on page 22 - almost 23- and just past the 11k-word mark. And, in a sense, the story has only just reached the main act. Well, I’m definitely going to break the 30-page barrier. I’ll say it again: this was supposed to be a short one-shot! Around 10 pages… Now that I see the actual scope of the fic, I wonder how I ever imagined it would fit into 10 pages!?

At least I managed to get one thing done last week: some information sheets for an event.

I also wanted to keep working on my canvas featuring Hornet and the fleas, but I was so fixated on the FF. lol

I’d been feeling off all weekend, only to realize today that I’m sick. x-x A cold. I actually wanted to start working on the Grimmkin headcanons + stuff today, which I mentioned 2 weeks ago, but I have zero concentration for drawing. qwq I guess I’ll see how things look for the rest of the week.

Anyway, those are the reasons I’ve been a bit quiet lately, I was really focused on my story and other things.

You know how I mentioned that short one-shot story I’ve been writing in between working on my longer project?

Well, that "short" one-shot is now nearly 7,000 words long, and I’ve reached page 14. And I haven't even gotten to the main act yet. <_<

Send help! It was supposed to be just a quick little story, why is it turning out so long once I actually write it all down?! QAQ
