“You can call if you want.” You read the message. As much as you wanted to, you had work to do. You had replied with a simple, “Alright.” and proceeded to do what you were doing.
An hour has passed. You decided to check back on the message. It showed you that he was active 12 minutes ago. You feel a certain wave of regret and loneliness as you reread the message.
Here you were, lying in bed waiting for him to reply to your messages. You constantly check the conversation, just to be met by disappointment.
“I miss you Yang...”

It was your last night together.
It all happened so fast, you weren’t ready for this, both of you weren’t. You knew it hurt Sicheng as much as it did you.
You saw it in his eyes when he told you he had to leave for a while. You knew what he meant by this.
Looking up into his dark brown eyes as both of you laid in bed together. Cherishing this time you had with one another while you still could. Laying in the dimly lit room, it was as if your thoughts were being shared.
“Promise me something. Don’t let me hold you back Y/n, please-“ Seeing the man you love so dearly have a tear rolling down his cheek, your heart slowly began to break. This wasn’t just a bad dream.
Not wanting to think about the harsh reality. You rested your head on his chest, hearing his heartbeat, feeling his breathe slow down.
If only time could stop, just for a few seconds, it was enough. It would still be more time together. This was real life, time couldn’t just stop. Hearing the clock tick as you both lay in the silent room, knowing in a couple hours things would’ve n’t be the same.
Sicheng couldn’t bring himself to continue. Pecking the top of your head, hoping this wouldn’t be the last time he could do this. Leaving you was the hardest thing he had to do. He was going to hold on to this moment as long as he could.
“ Y/n-”
Looking up at each other with glassy eyes, he realized was going to miss this. Admiring your angelic features, remembering every detail. This was hard for the both of you.
“I love you” leaning down to your lips connecting them. Closing your eyes, not knowing whether or not this may be your last kiss. Melting into his lips, you held his face. Wiping some of his tears away with your thumb.
This bringing you back to that fragile boy you met under the library entrance. It was raining that day, when you forgot your umbrella. As you were about to put the books you had recently checked out above your head, it had stopped raining. Seeing how everywhere else around you was continuing to rain, you looked up, to meet him.
“Sicheng” holding his face in your small delicate hands as if he was glass. He was yours and you were his, you didn’t want that to change. Your foreheads against each other, with the tip of your noses touching. Taking in each others breaths as if you were one, you didn’t want to leave this place.
“ I love you too “
