I really wish Icewing's leader ceremony picks had been better. So I made my own.

Riverstar - Compassion - Riverstar is the founder of RiverClan, but more importantly, he has been incredibly influential and important this arc. Plus, he already interacted with Icewing in Ivypool's Heart. And given the type of clan he is hoping RiverClan will go back to being, I feel like he should give Icewing a life related to treating other cats kindly.

Mintfur - Unity - Mintfur is Icewing's dead mate. While I wouldn't have minded him giving Icewing a life for love because a. Mintfur isn't really a character and b. I think it would be kinda cute, I also appreciate Icewing not getting any sort of life for love in canon so I decided to have him give her a life for unity instead. I also think unity relates to the arc and Icewing's path to rebuilding RiverClan a lot better than love does.

Petalfur - Perseverance - Petalfur is Icewing's daughter. When she was alive, she went on the quest to dismantle the beaver dam, and she and the other cats needed a lot of perseverance in order to do it. And now, Icewing will most definitely need perseverance to build RiverClan back up even better than before.

Jayclaw - Justice - Jayclaw is canonically Icewing's grandson, and I also headcanon him as being Icewing's first apprentice. Since he's also not really a character, I'd have him give a life relating to the arc as a whole.

Mistystar - Fairness in judgment - Mistystar was the previous leader of RiverClan. Last arc, she exiled Icewing and Harelight despite knowing she was wrong for siding with the Imposter and they were correct for fighting against him. So her giving a life of fairness and/or judgement to Icewing seems very fitting given their history.

Galestar - Perspective - Galestar was one of the leaders of the forgotten clan StormClan, and Icewing and Ivypool restored the memory of that clan in Ivypool's Heart. Galestar giving the life of perspective is fitting considering the super edition had a theme of the world being bigger than the worldview one is raised with. Plus it relates to the hope for RiverClan to be more open and less hostile.

Pricklekit - Hope - Pricklekit is Icewing's son who died of greencough as a kit. Because he's ALSO not a character due to only showing up in the allegiances, I would go basic and just have him give a generic uplifting kit life.

Hollowflight - Forgiveness - Hollowflight is a former Dark Forest Trainee like Icewing. I headcanon that Icewing is the reason Hollowflight ended up fighting for the clans despite what he was saying right before the battle, and that Icewing felt really guilty that he died, feeling she should have done more to help him. And I love the idea that Hollowflight comes up to give Icewing the life Beetlewhisker would have given her if his spirit was still around, becuase given their history it makes sense for him to give a life of forgiveness but they both know Beetlewhisker should have been there to give her the life instead. But on some level, that's part of the life. Hollowflight is giving it to her not just so she can use it for others, but also so she can use it for herself, because he genuinely believes she saved him, even if he did end up dying during the Great Battle.

Harelight - The strength to do what’s right - Harelight was exiled with Icewing last arc, and Star states outright they had a friendship. I also headcanon that Harelight was Icewing's second apprentice and that Icewing is pretty close with his family in general, so their relationship is pretty close in my mind. The two's exile was caused by Mistystar being mad about them breaking the rules to do the right thing, so she punished them for it. So this life feels very fitting for Harelight to give Icewing. Plus Icewing will probably need it, especially as she starts to have to make decisions that she believes to be right but are unpopular with the other clans or even her own clanmates in the name of restoring RiverClan.

If I was writing the nine lives ceremony for the canon books specifically, the only change I'd make to this is switching out Hollowflight for Reedwhisker, the previous RiverClan deputy who was murdered, since the Hollowflight life is pretty much exclusively my own headcanons. I'd have Reedwhisker give the life of Integrity to Icewing because RiverClan needs a leader with integrity and the last one certainly did not have that.
