everybody knows,
@fthajoon / where kwak hajoon discovers a secret of ryu taewoo's
it’s not healthy, this obsession (if that was what he could call it). falling in like, or in love, wasn’t what ryu taewoo wanted to do, but the sayings were right: the heart wants what the heart wants. what else was he left to do besides write a song about it?
promotions for critical beauty hadn’t even wrapped up yet -- it was still the last week of performances and fansigns and announcing themselves to the world as a team on stage. soon they’d be left alone to practice and prepare for the next comeback, but when inspiration hits, it hits. and so here taewoo was, sitting on his bed in his shared room, jotting down notes for lyrics and counting beats with tapping fingers.
“i get--” he paused, mumbling to himself a few words to follow suit, eyes shifting before the right one’s clicked. “i get nervous in front of you,” her image popped into his mind. ever since he and lina met months ago, she wasn’t able to leave his thoughts; there was something about her, there had to be. and even though taewoo was notorious for getting lost in his own feelings, this felt different.
he was too distracted, either by coming up with the perfect words for this song or with lina swimming in his mind, and didn’t notice that he wasn’t alone anymore. taewoo had convinced himself that he was great at keeping secrets (as he’d kept a few still under lock and key, but the majority were as obvious as the sun) and hadn’t let any of his members in on these lyrics just yet, let alone that they were for someone in particular. so, when he finally noticed that hajoon was near, he quickly hid the notebook he was scribbling in, pretending it was never there to begin with.
“how was,” taewoo stopped to clear his throat, the adrenaline from possibly being caught still tangled in his vocal chords. “how was practice?”
