『 Coming Clean 』
⇢ RK MGA 5 Audition ⇢ Jhope finding purpose in new adventures
“ God, I’ve been so fucking stupid. ”
He arrives at the building and lets his eyes take in the massive structure before he turns to smile at Sia as she looks back at him in question, stepping forward to catch up to her again. Hoseok doesn't know what to expect but he knows that many of his friends are trainees, some even idols and if he doesn't move into at least one or the other direction, he'll end up all alone and forgotten. The photographer doesn't blame them; it had been his choice to indulge in photography, knowing that most of them were musicians and while he of course could have simply found new people and continue to strive for success in his chosen field of art, there was something stirring within him that told him there was too much wasted potential if he'd settle for being just a photographer.
Jung Hoseok had always been a restless person, who was used to push himself beyond his limits and go beyond. With the lack of challenge and no thrill left in his life that kept him on the edge of his chair and adrenaline rushing through his veins, he found himself lost. He is lost in thought as he signs up and places the name tag on his shirt, easy to be seen. Almost lost to the point he doesn’t catch Sia scolding him for placing his tag upside down by accident. With a laugh he lets the female fix it for him and is content to trot behind her as they make their way further inside.
As he gets his measurements taken he thinks about how life was when he still lead a double life and drunk illegally, his every day life challenged by the quest of not getting caught. Now that he was free to indulge in his occupation and had no reason to use a fake ID, the photographer was bored. He ends up in the waiting room twirling his thumbs, restless energies thrumming through his veins and making his foot bounce with unreleased tension as Sia goes over the own performance she prepared for her audition. Dancing helped, made him forget about anything but the movement of his body but it wasn't enough.
Jung Hoseok was a man made to live off knowing that he was breaking the rules and getting the thrill of getting away with it. He exhaled a laugh at that, attracting not only Sia’s but probably the attention of many people in his area but he didn't care. How silly of him that he'd prepared for these auditions so much and spent so much time trying to find something to busy his mind when the answer had been so plain for him this whole time. Exhaling a long sigh he finally felt like he knew why he was even here in the first place and it set him a lot more at ease about it all. A smile on his lips he nodded his head when his girlfriend asked him if he was alright. He was more than alright, finally he seemed at peace with himself again. At least for now.
So when his name was called, all Hoseok could do was get up with a confident smirk and follow after the staff diligently. He at least knew now that he was truly ready.
