BACKGROUND:
Herbie began life as a simple pearl white Volkswagen beetle, having been created with a personality of his own. However, after Jim Douglas (His original owner) realized how fast he could go, he painted him with racing stripes and entered him into multiple races, most of which he won. Herbie's racing life was long-lived, but eventually, he and his newly-wedded wife car Sally retired to Toon Town, Los Angeles to live out the rest of their days in peace.
RELATIONSHIP WITH BLAIR:
Herbie and Blair have a very close connection, despite everything. She loves her father immensely, and she would rather go to him than her mother when it comes down to it. He's largely supportive of what she does, and what she wants from life-- in fact, he'd much rather she live happily as a human in the future than return to Toon Town as her natural form and be unhappy. He's often less strict than Sally, which puts him at odds with his wife almost constantly. At the end of the day, they're two peas in a pod, both of them incredibly similar... but sometimes, that can be the cause of their problems.

From the moment she set her headlights on Herbie, Sally was smitten. And she'd be the first person to say that to you. Her owner was one of Team Peyton's final sponsors in one of Herbie's more important races, and she eagerly watched as he won spectacularly. Imagine her delight when he proceeded to take her out on dates to various gas stations and romantic spots. She moved with Herbie after he retired, her deciding to take her owner's own name Sally and becoming his wife.
RELATIONSHIP WITH BLAIR:
At times, Blair and Sally's relationship can be antagonistic at best. Her mother has always been the cause of fun being ruined, and she's always nurtured a small hatred towards this part of her mother. However, both love the other deeply, and Sally really only has Blair's best interests at heart. Blair may be slightly closer to her father than her mother, however, she has never hesitated to go to her if she needs her help with something.
