Hank had wanted one thing: to get out of the Marine Life Institute and into a lovely, lonely tank in a Cleveland aquarium. However, his selfish attitudes quickly changed when he was shown the better side of himself by a silly, little fish named Dory. Hank had always lived, and wanted to live, a solitary life. After his adventure to reunite Dory with her family, he realized it might be time to settle down himself. His goals had changed, he wanted to have a child that loved him as much as Dory loved her parents. So, he settled down, found himself a lovely octopus and laid a few eggs. Octavius is the only one that hatched, and his mother died shortly after laying her eggs. And so, it was just Hank and Octavius, a couple of cephalopods taking on the ocean. It was going to be fine, or so Hank hoped.
Hank raised Octavius the best he could. He thought he did a pretty damn good job too. The two of them were always on good terms, as they were always so alike. A father and a son, but also a pair of best friends. Octavius was fine, until he turned human and headed off to school with some other fish from the Great Barrier Reef. Hank rarely saw his son now, and as much as he basked in the peace and quiet, he missed Octavius. And when he did see him, something about his son was just off. School had changed him, and Hank wasn’t sure if he liked the change, or how to bring him back to the octopus he used to be.

WHAT DO I KNOW? — People are made up of love and hate. That’s how Jubilee and Muse B balance each other out. Jubilee speaks through melodies and guitar strings while Muse B speaks in metaphors and novels. Together they are always trying to change the world, whether it’s in grand movements or little tasks, with their talents. One will get worked up as the other reigns them back, always in sweet words and beats. They understand each other on a whole other level. Muse B isn’t always with Jubilee but any time missed is as if it never happened when they reunited. The young activist fighting the world hand in hand. They won’t go down for they are stronger together and always together at heart gets them through any hardships. // Open.
JUST GIRLS — If they’re seventeen they can’t be anyone’s salvation. However Jubilee is eighteen and Muse B is kinda sorta her guiding light, but she prefers to to call them her best friend. Muse B is older and gorgeous, well trained in the art of make up and femininity. Jubilee has always lived in the grime of Hollywood, by choice of course, so Muse B takes her under their wing. Learning the art of seduction is quite a struggle though. The bluette struggles to find her balance of comfortable and cute while Muse B nurses the headache dealing with this tomboy brings about. One day she’ll be breaking hearts, until then she’s probably just breaking bones. Muse B has a lot of work ahead of them. // Open.
WALK THE LINE — Jubilee, as weird as she may be, could technically be considered popular. A social butterfly for sure. So it isn’t weird that she’s friends with Muse B, but they don’t see it that way. Muse B sees their self as the plague that Jubilee has to deal with. She’s just the nice woman just taking their time to check in on Muse B, and they don’t want the pity anymore. Jubilee has to take the time to pull Muse B out of their rut, remind them that they are wonderful for being eccentric and that is why she enjoys being with them. It is an influx of highs and lows, the rise and fall of self esteem and learning to become comfortable with their selves. Muse B and Jubilee are out to love their selves and their friendship. // Open.
ENEMIES—
HOLD ME DOWN — Jubilee is a sweet girl who tends to try and keep the balance, per her mother’s influence. However she knows when enough is enough. Muse B has pulled the last straw and Jubilee is ready to storm their castle and tear everything down. She’s been around the big shots for most of her life, the bluette knows that anyone worth anything is just someone who is kind to others. Which is why she can’t stand Muse B and their goddamn ego or the high horse they rode in on. Taylor Swift isn’t the only woman scorned with a voice and a guitar. // Open
TESTING THE WATERS— Parents can be overbearing worrywarts and that is exactly how Joy can get when it comes to Jubilee. The bluette was such a lone wolf in Hollywood that Joy set her up with Muse B hoping they could become friends and possibly something more. They just happened to be suitable to Joy’s opinions without any consideration to Jubilee’s. That’s how she met Muse B. They were a brash, ill-mannered, pampered socialite that Jubilee couldn’t connect with in the slightest. In fact Jubilee cut the whole arrangement short by dumping her beverage on Muse B’s head. Since then they have been at each other’s throats attempting to prove their worth, aka how much better one is than the other. // Open.
ROMANCE—
COLOR ME BLUE — Romance is hard to navigate since it balances on such a fine line. Jubilee is washed in blue, her sadness being something locked deep in her heart. Muse B is someone who only sees happiness in her blue, a smile always lifting at the sight of her bouncing locks. Jubilee doesn’t understand, but quickly begins falling for this person who is just so pure and sweet. So much so in fact that she begins to put Muse B’s needs before her own. Anything it takes to make them stay. Muse B is also deluded, seeing Jubilee as the only thing in their life to make them truly happy. They do anything and everything to make her stay, putting Jubilee’s needs above their own. It’s not healthy, both giving and giving yet receiving things that don’t hold any solid grounding of happiness and romance. For Muse B is only enamored with Jubilee because of her musical healing and Jubilee is only heart eyed for receiving positive attention. It’s not love at all, but draining admiration. It’s only bound to fall apart horribly. // Open.
HEARTS DON’T BREAK— Love isn’t always forever after, hot passionate happenings. Sometimes it’s that relentless calm, sweet tender always. Muse B is Jubilee’s comfort. Love is in the air platonically. Reassurance in the open arms that brush away stress, fear and pain. Acceptance in the happy crinkles by their eyes which bring contentment, safety, and warmth. Jubilee knows Muse B is ride or die in the exact opposite way; Muse B is almost a silent guardian or better yet the anchor that holds her down. Not once has their love for one another ever been second guessed or wavered. Some people hold strong opinions on their relationship, but friends are allowed to love each other and neither Muse B or Jubilee are afraid to be affectionate. After all sometimes you only have one other person who will express pure joy in your presence. // Open.
HEAR ME OUT— Sometimes people meet and they just connect. Everything runs smoothly, without any overthinking and in a blink of an eye the whole day has passed. Jubilee had that connection once. Stumbled upon Muse B by accident which led to a whirlwind of a day. Their voice, their smile, how they teetered on the line of dangerous and playful. Jubilee was entranced. She couldn’t get Muse B out of her mind. In fact her fingers itched for her guitar and lyrics rolled off her tongue as Muse B haunted her heart. It was the first song Jubilee had finished and actually liked so she played at an open mic night, not knowing Muse B was there. She didn’t even realize she’d thrown Muse B’s name in the lyrics either. Guess that’ll be an interesting reunion. // Open.
CLOSE TO YOU — There is always that one person who is there for you no matter what. Muse B was the that person, at least when it was for Jubilee. Actually any time something happened it was Muse B who showed up, sometimes out of nowhere, and patched things up. Through all the heartbreak, boring dates that only talk about themselves, and the annoyance of her mother constantly telling her to lighten up. Muse B was the shoulder to cry on, the one who cooks her brunch the next morning. What Jubilee hadn’t realized was that Muse B was kinda hopelessly in love with her. Maybe she’ll figure it out soon? // Open.
— she had an empty stage and no voice to convey the pain.
