“are you really going to leave me here without asking me the question you’ve been dying to ask me?”
yong can't help but keep the tug at his corners to a minimum. tries to guise it with the subtle lift of his brows, hues feigning ignorance and confusion. a concoction of deliberate bewilderment, as if her question had left him speechless.
he had gone out today, his dagger waving in the air, attempting to coax a conversation out of her. so many thoughts that ravaged his mind, a reverie filled with endless questions though had no answers - he was asking all the wrong people. the spark of a potential conversation now drives him to a divide. he lets his hand run through his ebony strands, exposing the jewels that adorn his lobes. finally, turning back to face her.
the subtle signs of shock, though feigned were still evident across his features. for how long? what happened? who are you? what are you? letting his gaze fall to the greenery dividing them. "what do you mean?" his brows knitting together ever so slightly in confusion, he throws in a head tilt to really sell the illusion. "what am i dying to ask you?" hues widening in question, allowing his gaze to drift across her own features.
the sense of familiarity that resonates within him, the way she glistens beneath the sunlight was no mistake of his suspicions but he doesn't let the thought linger long. a sigh leaving him, the first signs of his facade beginning to fade, his voice lowering, "i'm afraid i won't like the answers you'll give me." he settles with the half hearted truth, as his gaze moves back up to meet with hers. "ignorance is bliss." he adds.
