sometimes i think about the anon that said they had assumed i was always jewish (religiously) and i think about how powerful that is. not for me but for us as a community. I’ve always been ethnically jewish but I’m a convert, and you wouldn’t know if you met me online or irl. it doesn’t matter our origin, we’re all jews together. not one more jewish than the other. we just are.

We are different if we are thinking we are equal

We can never live in the world where there is no racism. Racism exists because we human created.

Eventhough we have same skin colour, we will still find a reason to hate other people that may include body size or height.

This is the mindset that we created and rule that we mold it to make into what we can get benefit from.

Being in a asian there is pently of advertisements that promises to make your skin fair. Why it even exists???

Because we asian have mindset white skin is prettier, even that some people says '' more people will find you appealing when you have fair skin''. This is the mindset created by us.

Thats what we have to change. To stop shaming people's skin colour. We are equal no matter what our skin colour is.

30 Day Movie Challenge Day 8: A movie that makes me sad - The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas (2008)

I'm crying as I'm writing this blog. I seriously need some tissue.

I admit that I’m a sensitive person. I easily cry when watching certain movies, and The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas was one of them.

Bruno, the German boy, and Shmuel, the imprisoned Jewish boy, didn’t allow their racial and religious differences to come between them. Instead, they formed a strong friendship.

The Holocaust was responsible for the deaths of over six million Jews, whose only crime was being of a different race. Other groups of people such as Jehovah’s Witnesses, Black Germans, the Roma, Soviet civilians, and Poles were also victims of this evil atrocity committed by Nazi Germany.

The principal message of this film is heartwarming but horrific at the same time. The story shows that even in the worst cases of prejudice and discrimination, people can still find the best in each other. We should never let our ignorance stop us from treating every single person with respect and kindness.

God created one race: the human race. Man was the one who created racism. We should have compassion for one another.

i like this. no, i love this. this awkward phase we’re going through, all this confusion about each other. when we meet a stranger, we are hesitant about using pronouns and so are they. it’s awkward but it’s progress. we have(most of us have) gotten rid of assumptions. even when we do assume, the probabilities are wider. the world has stopped being black and white, it’s a large rainbow now.
