#silverstream#warrior cats#warriors#waca#graystripe#blood cw#finally finished this after a long bit! project for my graphic design class#i wont yap too much about fridging in warriors because theres not much else to say about it that others havent said better but#yeah idk its been hitting me hard lately its been really frustrating#and this piece specifically is me sort of grappling with the fact that its so prevalent in these books for children#that i read as a young girl#and i wont pretend that reading one cat book series with some fucked up misogynistic thing totally altered my brain chemistry bc thats not#how development works and stuff#and clearly i didnt grow up to be a woman hater or anything lmao but its more me thinking about how media and ofc the world is built to#teach you to value women less in subtle and unsubtle ways#and how ill never be able to put a finger on everything that taught me that and how of course i like to think that i know better but#how im sure my brain still works in messed up ways. all of ours do. its the systematic shit right#anyways#i know warriors isnt that deep but#thought id make art about it anyways!#also i really hope this post doesnt turn into people shouting about how much they hate graystripe. i hope people do not miss the point.#we shall see#*bowieart
