Just gonna ramble about my Kn8 oc for a minute, don’t mind me

Before I got into Kn8, I was very much a fandom lurker. I never did much beyond liking and reblogging stuff. So even though I had an oc that I would put into different fandoms, I never put a ton of thought into her and I never posted anything about her.

But she is the first oc that I ever created. Her name is Aksa Kjeldsen and I used her for both Fairy Tail and Black Clover (mostly in my mind though I did write fics with her but those have never seen the light of day).

Anyway, when I got into Kn8, I just had a hard time picturing her in the universe and it just felt like she didn’t quite fit. Maybe if I had just given it a little more time she would’ve worked out because now when I try and picture scenarios with her, it feels more natural.

But it’s also been fun to come up with an entirely new character and I’ve definitely put a lot more thought into my Kn8 oc, Aira, than I ever put into Aksa.

Like Aira’s name for instance. It took me forever to find a name that I felt suited her. I spent so much time on fantasynamegenerators.com trying to find a name that fit. Ultimately, I decided to try and find a name based on what it meant.

I liked that the first part of her name means “love” (since she’s Kafka’s beloved lol) and I liked that the second part of her name means “arrive” (since she wants to help Kafka fulfill his dream of arriving at Mina’s side).

It’s been fun to develop her and think of these kinds of things and though it felt weird at first to have another oc since Aksa was my sole oc for like 10 years, Aira does feel like part of me now.

Anyway, not really sure what my point is, just wanted to ramble a little about how I came up with her and how it’s been so fun being in this fandom and feeling my brain working in new ways lol
