Feeling so incredibly angry, worried, and heartbroken about today's race, but even as I think those feelings are valid, I thought about taking a moment out to be positive - about y'all. This community here is really incredible. I have seen posts that are snarky, funny, poignant, thoughtful, angry and everything in between. Most I agree with, some I don't, but even those have been thoughtful and insightful. I've had to rethink some of my own takes. I am inspired by the level of emotional and cognitive intelligence on display. People doing research to support or debunk their ideas, people pouring their feelings into creative endeavors, and also an incredible amount of support for Max and more importantly for each other. In the end, it's just a sport. We root for our guy with the power of a hundred thousand burning suns and that is exactly how it should be, but in the end it is still a sport. What will remain is the kindness all of these people brought together by our support of that baby racing demon of ours show for each other. This is a lovely community and y'all should be so proud of yourselves. This is not how things commonly are on these interwebs. Might be hormonal at the moment and a bit over the top, but I still think I'm right about all'a that.
