When I say I have a lot of projects, it’s a true fact because I have many in works including this one for Soul Eater, a kinda-ish AU? ish thing
A little bit about this particular weapon, its much different to the usual weapons that are used to capture keishin souls and witch souls. It collects a different kind of soul (I’ll explain more at a later time but it’s so warm, thinking clearly is hard rn) I haven’t got a human form for this one yet, who knows if it does
I told myself I wasnt gonna post wips but here we are. I'm posting wips.
Anyways I spent last night patterning and cutting out the two halves of the scythe blade annnnnnddd fastforward to today-
The product of today! Both halves were reinforced and glued together!!! It was a bitch and a half but probably not as bad as sanding it is gonna be bc I have to make my edges from each half flush together so it looks like one piece, and the taper the blade edge so it actually LOOKS like a scythe. Then I gotta seal it, and then paint it. Then seal the paint. Oh and at some point I gotta figure out the handle. And paint and seal the handle.
Heck me this better pay off bc that foam was COSTLY

"The complete Dual Glaive sword prop wielded by Rian (performed by Neil Sterenberg and voiced by Taron Egerton) in the prequel series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (Netflix, 2019).
The prop is made of resin, and each blade is solid and hand-painted to appear metallic with battle-worn hand-detailing. The handles are painted in brown and gold-tones. The bottom of the hilt contains a translucent resin gem at the end, it also contains a magnet inside to allow it to be secured in the hands of the puppet wielding it. The prop contains wear consistent with heavy production usage, which includes, but is not limited to paint chipping, scuffing and scratching, and adhesive residue present on the handle.
One of the primary MacGuffins of the series, the Dual Glaive is a legendary weapon in the world of Thra. According to legend, a Gelfling would wield the Dual Glaive and be able to reunite the Seven Clans and end the reign of the Skeksis Empire. Rian ultimately does find both parts of the sword and combines them to use in battle, before he discovers that the gem in the handle is actually the Shard of Division - a cracked piece of the Crystal of Truth that has the ability to take someone's Essence. The Dual Glaive is eventually destroyed by skekMal The Hunter in the final episode of the series, but the Shard of Division remained intact.
