Summary: Grian kills Bdubs, and then comes after Scar with the fury of a man scorned. As he should. As is his right. Scar does not begrudge him this. Scar kneels, waist deep in murky water, and bares his throat, and says, Kill me. And then he says, hot and desperate, We’ve won, Grian, we’ve won. Can’t we both win? Grian, his head full of whispers, bares his teeth beneath the rising full moon, and says, No. He says, The ghosts demand a fight. And Scar, on his knees, smiling, says, Who cares what they have to say? It’s just us here now. And Grian – a fool, always a fool – listens to him. (In which Scar and Grian decide to win 3rd Life together. This changes everything, and nothing at all.)

so what exactly is the story about for your personal project? :]
It's going to be a trilogy!
It's going to take place in a world thats pretty much our modern world. But there's actually magic, a little-known thing. The common person doesn't know about magic but there is magic lol :3
Each instalment of the trilogy is going to be its own story. But all the lore is going to be shared.
They'll be their own stories, but put them together and you'll be able to see the lore and backstory of everyone!
...It's really hard to explain 😅
But simply: story one, Wearing Thin, will center a girl named Aster trying to figure out how to stop something magical from ruining her and her friend's life
Story two, Dressing Up, will center a guy named Irus who is just trying to keep his job, but is put on an impossible case that ends up teaching him things
And story three, still figuring out the title, is still forming in my mind but it's going to be about getting control over your life.
Also, fun fact, Irus's storyline is going to be what ties all three of the stories together :3
wearing thin submitter had started something apparently. I have now read this fic and I just- I am both annoyed that I have never read it before, and almost wish I hadn't because I'm never going to be able to move on from this.
