I don't think anyone is ever going to convince me it's normal and ok to use Pepe images/emotes these days. my instinctive reaction to seeing that stupid little green thing's face is and will ALWAYS be "that's my enemy, that's a mascot of people who wish ill upon me", so it's never not gonna be jarring seeing Pepes used by random queer people or showing up in the emote list of a server I join. like even if they DIDN'T have the lingering stink of weird internet bigotry attached to them, I just think they're genuinely SO unpleasant to look at and I can't imagine why any normal, well-adjusted person would want to use those wretched little frogs to represent their feelings. not even the "peepo" versions or whatever. have you tried just using/editing pics of real frogs? they're very expressive, if that's what you really want

Finally got all the way through the Sphereland movie, didn't find it as bad this time around probably because Minty was keeping me company and she makes everything better

That being said I really think it would have benefited from more characterization! It sounded like Hex was dealing with a LOT of feelings but it wasn't really unpacked; I think she could use a pep talk from an oldie to soothe some of that classic young adult neuroticism (but perhaps I'm projecting just a little)
