Mun, I think that Anon was asking because of that explosion of Shaggy memes. I don't know how it started, but given all that Shaggy goes through in canon... it's pretty believable stuff a lot of the time.
As the creator of the Shaggy is magic headcannon, I can see some of that, but the tone just seems very off from the character

The 2003 Turtles were my big introduction to the TMNT franchise. They have always been my favorite group of ninja brothers, and their Splinter actually acts like a dad in the very first episode.
Right?
I got spoiled with the 2003 series as far as Splinter being a good dad from the start. Finding out about the dynamic in the 2012 series (mostly from what I’ve heard and some of what I’ve seen so far-- I’m actually slowly watching the 2012 series for the first time) was a huge disappointment for me. Yeah, Splinter is supposed to be their sensei, but he’s supposed to be their dad first.
That’s something I think the writers for the 2012 series forgot somewhere along the line.

In reference to Leo getting shot during the fight with Hypno, would it be at all possible that Hypno would be willing to help the turtles escape? I just imagine him to be too classy to up and leave them.
It’s entirely possible. They agree to temporary truce, especially when two of the turtles (Raph and Donnie) and Hypno end up caught.
