Well, the website hosting and domain name company I was using recommended by another artist years ago, is definitely openly using AI for the technology now, I can't even ignore it or pretend it's mislabeled as technology sometimes is. Either I pay money to a decent site that cares about human creators, or I pay no money at all and just use free sites and social media.

Which is why I am making a new website from scratch on neocities.org in the meantime. I'm creating it as a reminder of when the internet was halfway good and I had a site on Geocities/Tokyo/some number that was a shrine to ancient anime and had background music and there were webrings and guestbooks and pixel art. I don't imagine anyone really keeps up with their neocities site when everything is so awful, but if it's free for a small page and not openly pro-AI (for now...) then I will make a page there.

I don't really know what to make a page of that won't eat up the storage space quickly, but I guess I can just make one or two simple pages about everything I ever liked to start?
