you know what i HAD to tell my sister to laugh about. it was a fucking surreal and amazing discovery id made, very recently in fact. literally life-changingly hilarious my super white mother's been using the term 'cracker' for years and years and years to jokingly describe herself and other white people and suddenly, for the first time in my 20 years on this earth, i turn to her to say something i just now realized i've never said 'you know thats not like referring to actual crackers, right, like saltine crackers' my 52 yo mother makes this f a c e this fucking like flabbergasted expression in genuine confusion i'm fighting back laughter as i continue, foreseeing where this conversation was going wih twisted glee 'yeah its abt how white people used to own slaves and they'd crack the whip on them' AND THIS BITCH IS FUCKING S HO O K LIKE SHE'S ALMOST DEADPAN WITH THE REALIZATION AND SHE JUST QUIETLY SAYS 'i thought it was about crackers-crackers'
