Human! Jonesy Joyful headcannons
-Jonesy is famous for his song writing and his long gorgeous green locs he's spent years maintaining. His hair is truly a work of art.
-Jonesy is a homosexual aromantic. He enjoys casual sex with other men. But he won't just sleep with anybody you have to have good vibrations. If you're cool, he fucks with you. What that is depends on his own judgement of your character. If you're a loud asshole, he ain't into that.
-Jonesy grew up in a small town with a love for funk and jazz music, would usually play gigs locally with his siblings. From there they gained more attention and eventually got to perform on live TV and the rest was history.
-Julie was part of the band when it was a smaller local thing, but the more attention she got put her into a nervous breakdown and she quit the band to go to college and study political science. Her siblings funded her college tuition with the insane amount of money they got from their record label and album release.
Jonesy never pressured her into anything and comforted her when she ran off stage and had an anxiety attack. Jonesy put an arm around her while she cried and told her he's not going to pressure her to stay and completely understands if she can't do this anymore.
-Jonesy refuses to allow his songs to be copyrighted because he believes art belongs to the people, not corporations. He was asked: 'what if someone else profits off of your music?' and answered with "I don't give a damn about the money."
-Jonesy fully paid for Julie's top surgery and fully supports his genderfluid sister.
-He NEVER lets his friends or aquaintences pay him for anything. If they go out to a restaurant he's paying the bill. If he gives someone a ride he refuses gas money and insists it's not necessary. He feels like he owes the community he grew up with the finical support they need. He's not a millionaire and he intends to stay that way. He lets himself have nice things of course, but he thinks it's downright evil to hoard that much money.
-Jonesy lives alone on private property in the woods a few miles away from a National Park. He has a nice house next to a lake that's art deco themed.
-Jonesy regularly smokes weed and insists it should be legalized everywhere forever.
-He fucking hates the police and refuses to stay silent about the prison system. He's also anti-war and written some songs about it.
-Jonesy has an essentric personality that gets people's attention. He's never putting on a facaude, he's real with people and that amazes others. Very down to earth and approachable.
-Jonesy is smooth and flirty with men he's interested in. He knows how to treat a guy right and has very sensual sex. He's also written homoerotic songs. Sometimes the songs vauge about past sexual partners. He's xtremely sex and kink positive.
-When Jonesy visited Julie and her friends with his siblings he liked Frank but also respected what he had going on with Eddie.
-However he also met Barnaby, non-monogamous and available. Jonesy thinks Barnaby has a very colorful aura. So he invited Barnaby to spend a night at his place to have sex. Barnaby was pretty intimated but flattered by his offer and accepted it. How could he refuse such a beautiful man?
-Jonesy is 8 years older than Barnaby
-Barnaby, who grew up on a chicken farm, felt out of place in such a fancy home. After Jonest got Barnaby laid, he is offered him a warm shower and a nice meal with weed. They ate burgers but it was the really nice kind.
Barnaby told Jonesy about his childhood home and Jonesy told him he thought it was really cool that he grew up on a farm with a community garden. Which Barnaby didn't expece. In highschool he was often ignored for being the dorky black boy who lived on a farm with "weirdos." But he always felt a deep love for that home regardless.
Jonesy snuggled Barnaby to sleep after and in the morning he made him breakfast omelette before sending him home. They stayed in touch and Jonesy considers Barnaby a good friend and definitely wants to spend more time with him.
-Jonesy likes Wally because Wally doesn't know who Jonesy is due the not keeping up with popular music bands. Jonesy likes Wally's art and commissioned him a huge amount of money for a painting to frame in his house. Wally asked what he wanted and Jonesy told him to paint his soul. So after months of trying to put his soul into a painting, Barnaby took him out to Jonesy's place to hand deliver the canvas. Jonesy put the painting in a wooden frame he also locally commissioned and hung it up on a wall.
Wally stayed a while longer and learned more about Jonesy. Wally was relieved he didn't act weird about his schizophrenia. So he felt pretty safe with him. Jonesy played him some music and Wally asked if he ever considered being a musician. Jonesy cracked up at Wally before quickly explaining he wasn't laughing at him, he was laughing at the irony. Because he's already a famous musician. Wally hadn't even heard of The Family Joyful at all. Jonesy thinks Wally is a cool cat.
