#socialshimmy #week4day4 It's a wrap! Throughout the month, I learned that there's so much I don't know, and so many dancers facing some of the same challenges I face. One of my biggest challenges for the Social Shimmy was trying to put myself out there as a professional. I have a hard time thinking of myself that way most days, and dont tend to take myself too seriously. I take my dancing seriously, for sure, but not myself. What I found easy, though, was sharing just how much I love to dance. I'd like to cultivate a bigger FCBD(r)Style community here in town, and more online followers. I love sharing what I've learned, and want others to dance with me. I know a huge part of that, though, will be allowing myself to heal - taking some time off and not pushing myself physically too soon.
