My campaign chest is all finished now! The wood is recycled from my grandma's old dining room table and the metal hardware is reclaimed from various old steamer trunks. The chest breaks down into three separate one foot tall sections for ease of transport. I'm gonna take this bad boy on the road and use it as my mobile workbench when I'm at arts festivals and conventions. Started construction on Friday. So over on Tested, I saw Adam Savage talking about #weekofmaking, so, I’m trying to get my butt in gear and do some things  this week. This may not look like much, but i’m hoping to turn it into the lever lock for my Bloodborne Saw Cleaver.

Normally I use wood, for everything, but I have issues using it for thin levers. The way the grain tends to run, and if there’s too much pressure, it might not even hold up the first time. Cons may be tightening up their rules, but I feel the only safe way to rein in that weapon will be to have a metal lever. 

I also got my kiln brick in the mail, and I’ve got it set up like a one brick forge. That should help when it comes to trying to flatten this thing out and add some curve. Metal working has always been something I wanted to get more into, and with my tools expanding a bit, I’m getting a little better capability to try it. May or may not work out.
