Have you seen fish-shaming pics yet? They're cute/silly. I reblogged a photoset and it made me think of you :)
Yes, I have seen them, and unfortunately as cute as they are in concept the actual photos in that set are pretty troubling! :c I'm really sorry because it was very sweet of you to think of me (!) but I have to address some things about those photos...
Not so bad, but they should have known before hand that angels may eat small fish.
A betta acting that way is lethargic, not "playing dead" and I know exactly what tank that is (I used to have it) and it's about a gallon (if not smaller) and way too small for a betta.
Is a poor convict cichlid, another fish the owners should have known the aggression level of before getting it. In all honesty, even though it's only a partial tank shot, it looks like he's in a 5gal. MAYBE a 10... which is also way too small for a convict.
The ram is perfectly acceptable, nothing wrong I can see there.
The sparkling gourami and the amano shrimp is cute as well and nothing wrong with that either.
The kuhli under the driftwood is another one that checks out with nothing bad happening.
The shubunkin making noise by moving gravel around is REALLY BAD because goldfish should never be on gravel as they can/will eventually EAT it and die. In fact, the very behavior they describe in their note is what causes them to accidentally swallow gravel.
The lazy weather loach is cute and fat.
The oscar is, as far as I can tell, also a harmless one.
The last photo is worrisome, because that tank appears to be a 3gal cylinder which is WAY too small as a growout for an angel, let alone an angel and tank mates!
And that concludes me being a stick-in-the-mud-ruins-everybodys-fun-negative-nancy! :D
