Wei Jia is an artist based in Chongqing, China. A graduate from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, Wei specialised in printmaking before shifting to include oil painting later in their career. Wei Jia currently teaches printmaking at the Sichuan Institute of Fine Arts, where they have been the deputy director of the printmaking department.
The assorted lithographs are representative of Wei Jia’s earlier works. Through images from childhood with the origami ships and toy planes, the works are imbued with a sense of youth and nostalgia.
