Also. Yeah, it's really not a great look to compare victims of genocide rising up against their oppressors to Nazis. That's. Hmm. Not great.
#like. obviously being a victim doesn't make a group of people incapable of harm themselves#but#when people commit genocides with the rhetoric that their victims are evil and awful and deserve it - the propaganda isn't true at all#and framing a story where that propaganda actually *is* true is just#weird!!#i don't like it#the ideology of a genocide is something that is difficult to grasp and fully understand and hard to write even as a fictionalized version#but this show is just disappointing me :(#like. i guess they have to make it so so clear that Vox is evil and unforgivable blah blah#bc otherwise 'victim of genocide encouraging their people to rise up against oppressors' makes you root for him and dismiss the evil acts#which i think works better!!!! let the characters have some moral complexity#“yes he's awful but i like his politics/the shows he makes” is very much a thing irl too lmao#wait i forgot the most important tag here 😭#hazbin hotel critical#i do try to make my complaining blockable
