A headcanon of Grave robbers AU
winnix & speirton
grave robber! Ron
grave robber! Lip
grave robber! Dick
Nix’s character setting is different from the three others.
and some other characters will appear.
Here it is.
Ron is a grave robber who depends on his job to make money. And he is not ashamed of it, for him, making money is more important than reputation. He is well known in the grave-robbing business due to his excellent tomb-robbing techniques. He masters different languages and cultures, owning specialized devices and great combat skills(bc he was a good officer in airborne troops).
One day his old friend Harry comes to find him and ask for a favor. Harry tells Ron there is a mysterious but rich hirer who wants to pay Ron a fortune to rob a ancient and dangerous grave, where is in a remote and uninhabited area (like wild places in Mongolia, Egypt, the Middle East and so on). It’s a hazardous journey so the hirer decides to send another grave robber to assist Ron. Ron initially refuses the plan because he prefers working alone, but Harry shakes his own head and says the hirer attaches great importance to the action and can not tolerate the slightest possibility of failure. Ron has to bear it because of the huge amounts of money.
“So what am I looking for this time? A gold chamber pot of an emperor?” Ron asks impatiently.
“A man.” Harry answers.
“Has that become the case now? Being infatuated with some old, broken bones.”
“Alive,” Harry adds, uncertainly, “Maybe.”
Now Ron is a little interested in this task.
The another grave robber is Carwood Lipton, he gets into his profession by accident. He was a university student once but had to drop out of school because of the high tuition. Now he really wants to earn enough money to go back to school.
At first the atmosphere between them is awkward, but they get to know each other better as they spend more time together, Carwood finds Ron less ruthless than has been rumoured, and Ron finds Carwood who is a gentle and soft person with a brilliant mind and strong will. They are gradually attracted to each other.
Their task is to look for a guy whom has been missing for years in a ancient grave. The guy’s name is Richard Winters, who is a grave robber, too. Ron knows this man, because Richard Winters is also famous among tomb raiders. It is true that he has been missing for several years, but most of grave robbers think that he might have retired. After all, his fame would surely have earned him enough money to live in peace for the rest of his life. Now it seems there is something else. Winters may have gone wrong during a grave robbery. Besides, why does a fucking rich guy try to find out more about him?
Carwood knows Winters less than Ron because he is a later entrant to the grave-robbing business. But he knows Talbert, who had followed Winters to graves many times and respected the missing man very well. Talbert is worried about Winters, because he can’t reach him at all, it is not normal. He suspects that something had happened to Winters, so he keeps to investigate the missing of Winters, but until now he gets nothing.
Ron and Carwood arrive at the grave where the Harry told them. It is a deep, dark, huge and weird grave under the ground. They can feel a stream of mysterious tension around them. Something alive seems to be watching them from the darkness. Ron feels intuitively that this task is more dangerous than Harry has said, and he doesn’t want Carwood to get hurt, so does Carwood. They encounter many dangers in the tomb, but they fight them off, such as traps(toxic arrows and something like that), creepy creatures and labyrinthine roads. Carwood is cut through his cheek when they fight with a creepy creature so there is a scar on his face, which makes Ron’s heart ache so that he kisses Carwood after escaping, and Carwood opens his mouth to welcome Ron’s tongue(I want them have a lovemaking here but it seems like a bit too much).
Both of them begin questioning why did Richard Winters come here, regardless of risking his life. And they think that maybe Winters is dead. It’s not possible that one man could survive by himself in this grave.
On the other side, Lewis Nixon listens to Harry's report by phone, coughing weakly. The curse is beginning to show itself in his body, time is running out for him.
(There are so many things I want to write but I can’t😂too many ideas to speak out )
