“I can’t believe that you did this to me. I’ve trusted you since the beginning, how could you?!”, Hendery said those words with much hurt in his eyes.
He just got home after his theater club rehearsals. They were preparing for a performance for the upcoming school festival and he did get one of the supporting roles.
“Can you please calm down? Why are you making this a big deal?”, you replied in a calmer manner not wanting to upset him further but you still think that he’s making this a bigger deal than it really is.
“You made a promise! I was waiting for this part of the day, I was very excited to come home and spend the evening with you. I was giving it my all during the rehearsals because I was excited to meet you. And now, now I get home and see that you’ve broken your promise?”, now you can also hear a hint of disappointment in his voice.
“Hendery, why are you making it sound like I made a horrible mistake?”, you replied while trying to stifle a laugh. This is getting out of hand, although you do think that him being mad about the situation is kinda funny and cute actually.
This is the first time you see him be this sulky. He’s typically a laid back guy and has a little bit of the go with the flow attitude. And tonight, you kinda messed up. You should start planning different ways you can make it up to him.
“Because you promised that we will watch the first episode of the Chainsaw Man together! I also wanted to surprise you for dinner. I even got your favorite spaghetti”, he showed the paperbag that he was holding as he spoke. You can see that he really looked forward to tonight. Guilt starts to creep into your senses.
In your defense, the only reason you started the episode without him was because you were seeing too many clips of it on the internet. Too much excitement came over you and just decided to watch it before he comes home and then just watch it with him again later.
“Well actually, about the dinner….. I actually just ate dinner. I ordered chicken wings before coming home”, you said slowly.
“You ate dinner without me?!” He said with a very shocked voice and a taken back expression. Now he surely feels betrayed.
This is gonna be a long night of making it up to him for sure.
I actually haven't seen Chainsaw Man but it looks interesting! Also I just think Hendery is the type to really be excited for date nights <3
