as much as i adore the fluff and sweet talking i find i cant stop thinking abt the idea of keigo w/ someone who grew up and trained with him under the commission, went through the same grueling treatment and regiments, knows exactly how it feels to be a loyal dog getting kicked. this trauma bonding melding them together with understanding no one else could share but them..honestly the most appealing part of this to me is the potential angst - watching each other get beaten down means keigo knows exactly which (emotional) bruises will hurt the most when prodded, and vice versa. two loyal dogs can still snap at each other. i think because of the shared environment keigo knows he doesn't have to pull his punches, knows they don't require gentleness and can fight in the dirt with him. but of course, no matter how the fights might go there's an understanding that one of them will always trail after the other with a silent apology, and the other will always forgive. strangely intimate.
