We are excited to announce that going forward, our server will be a judgement free, welcoming space for ALL kinds of systems, not only traumagenic systems! We want to kick off this much anticipated change with a very needed apology, not only to the endogenic community but the plural community at large. Us Kit Folk owe a sincere apology to our combined community for the part we have played in this community’s partition and the wrongful exclusion and exile of of some community members. Though we personally have always supported endogenic systems, we acted out of cowardice in our unwillingness to face the ire of the most toxic and hateful parts of plural spaces by challenging these discriminatory beliefs. For a long time we sought to straddle the line between right and wrong by creating a discourse free but exclusionary space, but as we have been working to rebuild our server to be more strongly aligned with the ethics we strive to see normalized in our community, we have come to see the harmful hypocrisy of our decision. Indecision is a choice in and of itself, and by failing to choose the side of justice in the past, regardless of our personal beliefs or desires, we have enabled injustices and cruelty which has served to damage not only individuals or our server but the entire plural community as a whole. There is no apology we can make that will make good on our past shortcomings; all we can do is seek to put our values of restorative justice into practice, and make the right choice now, for as they say, if not me, then who? If not now, then when? As such, from this time going forward, our community will be open to endogenic and other non-traumagenic systems, and there will be enacted a no-tolerance policy for mistreatment of any system based on the nature of their origin. We understand that some may not welcome this decision, and may choose to leave our community as a result, but we stand firm on matters of principle, and thusly to those such people we say this: Go, for you are not welcome here. There are always those who stand on the wrong side of what’s right, and firmly as you may choose to stand there, we will not be bending to your malice. As such we wish to restate for clarity’s sake; this means there will be a zero tolerance policy for mistreatment or discrimination on the basis of system origins, and server members behaving in such a way WILL be removed from this community.
