Customer of the Week Award #1
#1 “The Grey One”
The situation was the following:
I’ve had two grey cars at fuel pumps 1 & 3 that both tanked the same sort of fuel, one for 54.- the other one for 74.-
And that’s how it went (FYI: The customer didn’t have problems with the language):
Customer 1: I had fuel
Me: Alright, which fuel pump?
C1: The grey car out there
Me: And was it at fuel pump 1 or number 3?
C1: The grey one
Me: Yes but both cars are grey. Did you have number 1 or 3? The one in the middle, closer to the shop? Or the one on the far left?
C1: It was the grey car out there. *points towards window facade*
Me: So the one in the middle, number 3?
C1: I gues so, the grey car is mine
Me: Okay, so the grey car that is closer to us, fuel pump 3 for 54.- is that correct?
C1: 54... that’s about right. Yeah
Me: Alright. That’s 54.- then please
Customer 1 paid, left the shop and I served someone else when another one came in who wanted to pay fuel pump 3... and it turned out that Customer 1 paid the wrong sum in the end... And guess who had to come up for the 20.- difference....
Yes ME, becaue my Customer of the Week didn’t look right and couldn’t distiguish left and right...
