#BeKind21 Day 21: Thank you!
We’re excited to share this message from our executive director, Maya Smith:
Yesterday morning, I celebrated the end of the #BeKind21 at Springhill Elementary with dozens of children and family spending their morning writing gratitude cards to their teachers, drawing kindness posters for campus, donating hundreds of books to West Contra Costa Reads and pounds and pounds of non-perishable food items to Contra Costa Food Bank.
Today, the Born This Way Foundation team celebrated at Astor Place South, inviting New Yorkers to celebrate #BeKind21 at a wellness fair. On each coast, we celebrated the end of the 21 days and the beginning of something much more long lasting. Coast to coast, in communities, schools, workplaces, and in our online communities, your kind acts have made a difference. They’ve made someone’s (and many someone's) day and saved lives. You’ve proved that kindness is a powerful force.
As a mother whose own children have benefited from #BeKind21 on their playgrounds, as an Executive Director who celebrated your stories in each of our team meetings and was inspired by your energy and bravery, and as a neighbor who has met more new people in these last 21 days than in the six years before, thank you for sparking this movement.
I am so excited to share what’s next, what #BeKind21 has inspired and the important role you each have in helping us build a kinder and braver world.
Check out these photos from our Astor Place South event today held in partnership with ThriveNYC!

Glenn: Oh bravo! It didn't work.
Jonah: No, it was after the... for the next one. You'll see.

How many people have you seen die? I've seen like seven. Though I don't know if that counts because it was all at once.

Great Non-profit Function Idea...Have a Community Wellness Fair
Great non-profit function idea...have a community wellness fair is what this DIY howto video is about. VideoJoe is out & about & the local community is having a community wellness fair as sponsored by a local non-profit called The Lighthouse. The Lighthouse partners with 0ver 300 other non-profits in the local community & they came up with the idea of having an annual community wellness fair. You don't have to be in the local community of Lincoln, CA in order to have a community wellness fair. You can have one wherever you live in the good ole USA. If you are a non-profit organization what better way to team up with other non-profits in your area then have yourselves a community wellness fair. You can get the word out to people who don't even know about your non-profit just by them going to the wellness community fair. Awesome! Now I see how my non-profit can help the local community...by having a wellness fair! Having a community wellness fair is easy...when you know how. Watch & learn as VideoJoeShows you a great non-profit function idea...have a community wellness fair. NIce!
