If I’m honest, I’m having a LOT of imposter syndrome as I start my journey exploring my ancestry and incorporating it into my life. The closest connection I have to any country besides Aotearoa is 5th generation; some of my ancestors came here 8 generations ago in 1829.

But I want to reconnect! Not a lot has been passed down and I want to change and reconnect to my ancestral homes! But I’m not sure how welcoming they will be; am I being silly even trying??

I’ve heard some Welsh people talk about running into other Welsh people in Florida but y’all actually have a significant enough presence to be in the highest cluster of Welsh speakers in the US, so congrats! But also, why does it have to be florida of all places…

Ah, to be Welsh diaspora whose Welsh side is primarily from the Llyn Tegid area...and I open a book by a Welsh person on Welsh lore and literally in the first paragraph of the introduction is a mention of Llyn Tegid. Blessed.
