Pairing: Werewolf Paz Vizsla x Female Reader
Summary: As you and Paz arrive in town, the Wolf pushes him to ask you to be his mate
Warnings: sexual feelings, language, anxiety
Words: 1.4k
Paz has never been more grateful for his helmet. Now that the Wolf has chosen you, whatever self-control he had around his heart has been destroyed, and he’s certain he constantly has a stupid, love-struck expression on his face.
It doesn’t help that you and he must share Jaster as you continue your journey to town. You sit in front of him, your ass pressed into the crotch of his armor and your back against his chest and stomach. He has to force himself to keep a loose hold on your middle instead of clutching at you like he wants to.
To make him feel even more like a horny teenage boy, you’re also responding to the close proximity. He hears your heart rate pick up whenever an incline has you leaning harder into him and your skin gets warmer whenever he brushes it with his gloves.
The Wolf remains near the surface, demanding to know why Paz hasn’t confessed his feelings to you yet. You are everything both sides of him could wish for. But the animal part doesn’t understand that there are some difficult logistics to the union. Namely, that he is a Mandalorian bound to his covert and you are wholly devoted to your family’s farm. He can’t stay and he’s not sure you’ll leave.
“We’ll be there soon,” you say, your voice subdued. “The first thing I’ll need to do is barter Jaster.”
Paz frowns, confused. Why would you barter your only steed. “Don’t we need him for the return journey?”
“We’re going to have to walk. Everything I had to trade was taken, and I need flour and other supplies to last the winter.”
“But don’t you need him to plow the fields next spring?”
He hears you swallow hard, your distress rising.
“I’ll barter with my neighbor for the use of his orbak. I’m sure he won’t mind.” You turn to give him a smile that doesn’t meet your eyes.
Paz immediately feels like the biggest di’kut ever. He’s seen how little you have, but he somehow didn’t comprehend the long-term ramifications of what happened when that Rodian escaped. It’s not just that you’re going to be inconvenienced for the next week, it’s that you’re looking at severe hardship for the foreseeable future.
“That’s not going to happen,” he says firmly, putting a hand on your back. “I have more than enough to trade so that you can get what you need. If what I brought with me doesn’t cover it, we’ll go back to my ship and do another round.”
You shake your head. “I’m not letting you do that. I was foolish and I’m paying the price. You don’t need to clean up my messes.”
Paz huffs sharply, frustrated by your insistence you have do this all yourself. “This isn’t charity.” He pauses, deciding now is not the time to tell you that he wants to become mated to you. “You have been beyond generous with your resources and your time. I needed help and you gave it freely. Don’t rob me of the chance to do the same.”
You look at him with swimming eyes. “I didn’t give it to you freely, I made you clean my house.”
Paz can’t help it; he laughs. “If it’ll make you feel better, you can help me tidy my ship. It’s a pretty big mess after that crash.”
This makes you smile as you swipe the unshed tears away with the back of your hand. “Deal.”
Judging by where the sun is in the sky, the two of you will reach town well before moonrise. “Is there an inn or somewhere to stay?”
“Yeah, but I usually just camp on the outskirts. Lodging is expensive.”
“I’d rather stay at a place with a room. These old bones don’t like sleeping on the ground much anymore,” he lies lightly.
The truth is, you haven’t had a proper rest since you were attacked, and he’ll be damned if you don’t get at least one night with a warm bed before making the return journey.
“I’m not sure how much wildlife is available around there,” you frown.
“I’ll buy raw meat to eat. It’s not the Wolf’s favorite way, but he’s had four glorious nights of killing, so he shouldn’t complain.” Besides, the Wolf just wants to be close to you right now.
- - -
Once you and Paz reach town, your first stop is the excellent butcher, who loads up a huge bag of steak and ribs. It costs so much you nearly choke, but Paz doesn’t seem fazed.
Then, it’s to your favorite Nerf stall to get yourself some fried tenders and vegetables. As soon as the container of food is in your hands, a giant gurgle echoes from your stomach.
Paz laughs. “You have the loudest belly of anyone I’ve ever met.”
Scoffing, you guide Jaster to take a right. “I’m sure yours is louder.”
“Not even the Wolf can rival that.” His gloved hand brushes your back lightly as if reassuring you he’s teasing. It takes everything in you not to lean into the touch. A day spent pressed into him has you addicted.
“Do you need anything for the night?” you ask to distract yourself.
Paz pats the large bag of meat. “This’ll do me.”
When the three of you reach the inn, you leave Jaster with the stablehand. “Rest up,” you smile, kissing his nose. This is the first time he’ll get to experience the pampering afforded the pack animals that stay here: a bath, lots of delicious food, and a cozy stable for the night.
Then, Paz leads you into the inn itself. He walks up to the clerk at the desk. “Two adjoining rooms, please. We’ve also left an orbak in the stables.”
The clerk looks uncomfortably up at Paz. “I’m sorry, but we’re quite full this time of year. If you’d made a reservation...”
Your heart sinks with disappointment. You didn’t realize how much you’d been looking forward to a hot shower to get the blood out of your hair. “It’s fine. We’ll get Jaster and go to the woods,” you say to Paz quietly.
“Well, ma’am, we have one room, if you can share,” the clerk continues hesitantly, his nervous eyes stuck on Paz.
Paz cocks his head at you questioningly. “Is that all right?”
Why not? The two of you have been sleeping under the stars together already. “Fine with me.“
The clerk exchanges the credits Paz offers him for a key. “Room 315.”
When you reach the room, you're shocked by how large it is—the size of your whole house. There’s a giant bed in the center, a table and four chairs in one corner, a sofa across from a large holoprojector, and a conservator for preserving food.
Your stomach lets out another giant growl that makes you both laugh. “Mind if I eat?” you ask. The moon will rise soon, but not soon enough.
“I don’t want to find out what will happen if you wait any longer,” he says dryly.
You sit on one of the chairs and begin to shovel food into your mouth. “Force,” you moan happily, dunking a tender into some spicy sauce.
Pulling out the chair across from you, Paz plunks his large frame on it. “Good?”
“So good.” With delicious food and an incredibly comfortable place to sleep, you’re feeling much more cheerful. “Thank you, Paz,” you say earnestly, “for helping me.”
He hums softly, the deep sound crackling through his modulator, as he pulls his gloves off. Then, his hand reaches across the wooden surface, gently wrapping around the one you’re not using to scoop up vegetables. Your heart skips a beat at the tenderness.
“I told you before that my people deeply admire women like yourself. I especially do. Me and my Wolf, we...” The callused thumb of his other hand brushes your cheek. “...want you to be my mate. I love you and want you as my life partner.”
Your eyes go wide.
But, before you can even process, he suddenly groans in pain, retracting his hands hastily. “Fucking moon!” And he bolts for the refresher, leaving you to gape after him.

Thank you SO much for reading this story; I'd love to hear your thoughts! 🥰
Pairing: Werewolf Paz Vizsla x Female Reader
Summary: The Wolf is left with the aftermath of his human counterpart's proposal to you
Warnings: language, emotional overwhelm, mild gore, horny touches and arousal
Words: 1.7k
The violent pops and rips coming from the refresher are almost enough to make you forget that Paz had just proposed marriage. Almost.
So many feelings are coursing through you, but the primary one is anger. How dare he do that when he knew he’d be changing at any second?! Now you’re going to be stuck alone with your thoughts and questions for at least ten hours. You have half a mind to go into the bathroom and demand answers before he’s changed completely.
When something shatters, though, you decided to stay put. Paz had fucking better have enough credits to cover for whatever he’s just broken.
Panic threatens to overtake your fury, but you fight it. You don’t want to think about the things it will bring up.
...Like abandoning the land and life your family has treasured for generations.
You’re scrambling to shove that deeper down inside you when the refresher door opens. A light fruity odor wafts into the main room, suggesting that whatever had broken was likely only a sundry.
Paz’s gigantic black Wolf trots out, wagging his tail like nothing has life-changing has happened. He immediately beelines for you, snuffling your cheek. He’s so excited to see you, and it just enrages you further.
You glower at him, slamming the lid down on your half-finished food, which no longer sounds appealing. “I’m going to take a shower.” You stand, pushing past him.
He cocks his head curiously at you, as if he doesn’t know what he’s done. You ignore him, shoving your food into the small corner of the conservator that isn’t taken up by his meat.
Then, you enter the refresher and slam and lock the door. The fruity odor is pleasant enough to calm you down a little. You glance in the trash receptacle and see that it’d been a complimentary bottle of cologne that broke, and there’s a damp, fragrant washcloth in the laundry hamper. At least the Wolf had the decency to clean up his mess.
You turn on the shower, peel off your dirty and blood-encrusted clothes, and step under the spray. As the intensity of your emotions crash down on you, you begin to weep.
- - -
Paz lays on the tile floor, ripping pieces of meat off the bone. It’s pretty good for having been dead more than a day. If he had to choose between being here with you and being out hunting, he’d choose here.
His ears prick and he pauses his munching. Through the beating of the water, he can hear you crying. Worry causes him to quickly go to the refresher door.
When he’d emerged from his shift, you’d been angry and anxious, although he’s not quite sure why. Sadness, confusion, fear, and, more than anything, overwhelm pulse from you now. He distinctly remembers his human self telling you he loves you. And he senses your love for him, too, so why are you this upset?
Paz whines in concern, not having any other way to ask after you.
“I’ll be out soon,” you say, voice thick. There’s a hiccup, then you’re sobbing again.
For a brief instance, your distress has him ready to break down the door, but the sliver of remaining human in him forbids it. Sighing, he returns to his meal to wait for you to come out.
He doesn’t know how long it is until you turn off the water, but it’s certainly not “soon.” He’s polished the meat off all the bones and is now gnawing on the biggest one, trying to keep himself calm.
You finally emerge, scrubbed of blood and grime, and dressed in a fluffy white robe. A floral soapy scent wafts from you. He doesn’t like how it overtakes your natural odor. He also doesn’t like how puffy and red your eyes are from crying.
The tears must have helped, though, because your interior world is calmer. The worry and grief lingers, but it’s not consuming you. Now, you’re just exhausted.
“Hi.” You give him a small smile. “How was your dinner?”
Paz wags his tail, gesturing at all the bones.
“I’m glad.” With a sigh, you collapse onto the bed. “I didn’t think to buy an extra set of clothes while we were getting food, so I’ve washed mine best I can and they’re hanging to dry.” You run your hands over the plush fabric, accentuating your beautiful form underneath it. “This is so soft, it’ll be nice to sleep in.”
Abandoning the bones, he goes over to the bed and rests his chin on it. His eyes ask if he can join you on it, desperate to be next to you.
“Come on.” You pat the covers.
When he jumps up, his unbelievable mass sends you several inches into the air. You yelp, scrambling for the covers so you don’t fall off the bed. He reaches out a long front paw to snatch your waist before you’re lost to the floor.
Laughing breathlessly, you roll into him. He tucks you under his arm, gently licking the tear-swollen skin around your eyes. Lids fluttering closed, you go still under the caresses.
“Why did tell me you love me and want to be my life partner right before the moon rose?” Your voice is small and confused. “Was it because you didn’t want to talk about it right away? Or because you’re scared of my response?”
Paz isn’t sure what to make of these complicated-sounding questions. But he doesn’t want you to be sad, so he kisses more of your face.
Your fingers dig into his thick fur, sighing again. “It feels like too much, too soon. But it also doesn’t. Because I also love you and I want to be your wife.”
Although the Wolf already knew this, hearing it sends a jolt of excitement through him. He nuzzles your cheeks and nose so ecstatically that you laugh again. “Easy, bone breath.”
He forces himself to calm down. What you seem to need right now is comfort and reassurance, so that’s what he’ll give you. He snuggles you closer to him, wrapping himself in a ball around you. You rest your head against his ruff.
“But I know you can’t stay, which means I have to go with you. And I don’t know if I can do that. Everything I’ve ever known is here. My family’s legacy is here.” Your voice catches. “And... I’m scared.”
Paz roos softly, causing you to look into his eyes. He smiles gently, taking one of your hands and putting it over his heart. Then, he puts his own paw lightly over your heart. The bond mates share means that, no matter what happens, no matter how scary it is, neither of you will be alone.
You must understand enough of what he’s trying to tell you because your turbulent emotions are joined by a new one in that moment: hope. “Do you promise you’ll talk to me more about this tomorrow?”
He nods, poking his human consciousness sharply. He’d better clean up whatever mess he’d left you in and not do it again!
That night, he stays awake, making sure you remain warm and comfortable as you sleep in the nest he’s made of himself. When it’s time for him to shift back to human, he covers you up with blankets and returns to the refresher.
Human again, Paz stares at his reflection in the mirror, taking in eyes that are still flecked with amber from the change.
Things did not go as he’d planned last night. He’d been overzealous and fucked the timing up. Thankfully, your gracious spirit is willing to give him another chance.
After donning his jumpsuit and helmet, he walks into the main room. You’re now awake, smiling sleepily at him.
“Morning,” he says warmly, going to sit next to you. He traces the line of your collarbone visible between the top of the robe with his bare pointer finger.
Your skin heats under the touch and he smells the start of your arousal. Smiling to himself, he continues the gentle movement, adding in all five of his fingers to caress along your neck.
Suddenly, though, you sit up, breaking contact. “Do you remember promising we’d talk?”
It takes a moment for his blood to travel up from his crotch to his brain. “Oh, yeah. I'm sorry about last night. I wasn’t thinking about the time when I asked you to be my mate.”
“It was a shitty thing not to think about,” you scowl, crossing your arms. “Just drop that on me and then not be able to talk all night?”
Paz grimaces. “I know.” He vaguely remembers you asking the Wolf questions about his motivations. “It wasn’t because I wanted to avoid the conversation or your response. I’d been wanting to talk to you about it all day and it just felt like the right moment. Which it obviously wasn’t.”
The tension eases from your shoulders at his explanation. “It might not have been the worst thing, honestly. I was so startled and overwhelmed that having a chance to process was probably for the best.”
He links his hand with yours. “This place is your home, and it’s a lot to ask you to leave. If I didn’t have others counting on me, I’d stay with you, but my people need me.”
You nod, eyes on your hands. “And the truth is... I don’t have anyone here. I’ve been telling myself for years that I’ll find a man, we’ll get the farm profitable, grow a family, and that my line won’t die out. But that’s never happened.”
His other hand tilts your chin up so you have to look into his visor. “I understand what it is to want to preserve a family legacy, to preserve a home. I’ve lost mine, as well. But, we can rebuild ours together.”
You smile your stunning smile. “We can.”
He inhales slowly, determined to do this right this time. “Will you be my mate and riduur?”
There’s no hesitation in your, “Yes, Paz.”

Thank you SO much for reading this story; I'd love to hear your thoughts! 🥰
Pairing: Werewolf Paz Vizsla x Female Reader
Summary: You decide to do something about Grogu's limited wardrobe
POV: Reader
Warnings: sexual suggestion, mild language, discussion of children/pregnancy
Words: 1k
A/N: From my The Crash universe
You knock on Din’s door. He opens it almost immediately, Grogu securely situated in the crook of his arm.
“Thanks for coming on such short notice,” he says, sounding a little flustered. “The pick-up location got changed and I don’t have the space for him.”
Din’s tiny Naboo fighter couldn’t hold more than two. And barely two at that. Paz never got tired of laughing at Din cramming himself in it. Din’s retort was at least he’d never have to lug Paz’s huge ass anywhere.
“No problem,” you smile, making sure the straps of your bag are securely over one shoulder before offering your hands for Grogu.
The little green child is eager to enter them. You snuggle him close.
“I should be back tonight.”
“Just comm me if you’re going to be late. I can sleep over.”
Din scoffs playfully. “I’m not sure Paz can handle being without you for one night.”
You wink. “It’ll do him some good to miss me.”
Within a couple of minutes, Din’s said goodbye to his son and left.
“Do you want to help me with a project?” you ask Grogu as you settle on the sofa with your bag.
He babbles excitedly, hopping up next to you. He peers into your bag and then pulls out a ball of soft, bright blue yarn. It was the same color as his favorite cookies.
He squeals excitedly, both at the color and texture.
“You like that?”
He grins, digging his fingers into it.
Pleased, you pull out your knitting needles. “I’m going to make you an outfit with it. Your father may think you only need a robe and some chain mail, but I disagree. You need a comfy little jumpsuit.”
Seeing that Grogu doesn’t want to let the ball go, you quickly unwind some of the yarn, snip it off with your sewing scissors, and swap with him.
Then, while he’s busy playing, you take some quick measurements of his tiny body. He giggles as your fingers and the tape measure tickle him.
You’re about halfway through knitting the main piece when there’s a knock on the door. You have a sneaking suspicion you know who it is, and you’re right. Your riduur fills the doorway in his blue armor.
“Paz, what are you doing here?” you ask, trying to seem unamused.
“I missed you,” he says, his deep voice making the pout behind it sound ridiculous.
It’s almost the full moon, which means he can get a little clingy. You don’t mind nearly as much as you pretend.
“I’m very busy knitting Grogu’s outfit.” You turn your back on him, but leave the door open.
He shuts it before following you into the living space, where Grogu’s wrapping his bit of yarn around the shiny, small metal ball he always has with him.
“Hey, kiddo,” Paz says warmly. “What are you doing?”
Grogu chatters an explanation as Paz sits next to him. His weight sends the baby a couple inches off the cushion, which causes a scream of delight from him.
You laugh, grabbing your knitting and moving to a chair so Paz can continue bouncing without disrupting your rows.
The afternoon passes sweetly, with Paz playing with Grogu until he falls asleep. Then, Paz gently tucks a blanket around him and pulls off his helmet so you can see his face.
“You know...” he begins softly, “now that we’re settled, maybe it’s time to be thinking of having a youngling of our own.”
You smirk at him. “I think it’s time to do more than thinking.”
A soft growl rumbles through him and his eyes glow yellow. “How long until Din gets back?”
“No idea,” you say primly, as if his reaction does nothing to you.
He huffs, making you laugh.
Later, you’ve just finished the final touches on the onesie when Grogu stirs. Paz quickly puts on his helmet again.
After a huge yawn, the baby opens his eyes.
“Look what I finished for you,” you smile, going to kneel in front of him.
He babbles, fingering it.
“Do you want to try to it on?”
He’s already tugging at his own robes. You help him out of them before dressing him in the jumpsuit. It’s roomy enough for him to move with freedom but still cozy. It has sleeves that go to the wrists and the legs stop at his ankles.
“I didn’t know you had feet!” Paz teases, poking at the little claws with a finger.
Grogu laughs uproariously.
“What do you think? Is it comfy?" you ask.
He coos, running his hands over it, and then offers you a huge, delighted smile.
You wrap him in an embrace, kissing his cubby, pink cheeks.
It’s at that moment that the front door opens and Din walks in. “Paz,” he says dryly. “You couldn’t even handle five hours without her?”
“Shut up, it’s almost the full moon,” Paz snaps.
Grogu jumps off the couch and waddles over to his father.
“Buddy, look at you!” Din sounds quite surprised and you’re not sure if he’s okay with the gift. Maybe you should have asked first.
Grogu tugs at the vivid blue material eagerly as Din scoops him up.
“It’s soft, huh?” Din’s helmet turns in your direction. He knows you made it. “Thank you. It’s hard to find him clothes in his size and shape.” Poor, tired man didn’t even think about having them custom-made, apparently.
You smile. “I’ll make him more if you want.”
“I’ll take you up on that. But I’m paying next time,” he says firmly, rubbing Grogu’s hand absently with his fingers.
“You can pay me in buying me good yarn when you’re off-world. I’m almost out of what I brought.” And if you and Paz are going to have your own little one, you’re going to need lots of it.
Thank you SO much for reading this story; I'd love to hear your thoughts! 🥰

Summary: It’s time for Paz to fix his ship and for you to say goodbye to the only home you’ve ever known
Warnings: language, brief mention of sexual content, discussion of future children
Words: 1.4k
“Look at you!” you beam, stroking Jaster’s shiny coat. You’ve never seen him looking so beautiful and relaxed. Obviously, three days being pampered in the inn’s stables have done him a world of good. Paz paid for him to get the full steed treatment, including bath, brushing, trimming, and oils in his coat.
Jaster nuzzles your cheek, nickering softly. You kiss his snout, a feeling of deep sadness washing over you. You’re going to miss your faithful boy so much. But there’s no room for him on Paz’s ship and no safe home for him to go to, so you have to leave him on Croria.
Paz enters the stables, carrying all the bags of shopping you’ve acquired. “Hey, burc’ya,” he says cheerfully to the orbak. “You ready to carry us and all our shit back?”
Not only did Paz get the supplies he’d need to fix his ship, but he also got the weapons he came to Croria to purchase in the first place. He bought you a variety of new clothes that you couldn’t easily make for yourself and some storage crates so you could bring what you wanted from your home.
After securing all the merchandise to Jaster’s saddlebags, Paz helps you up onto him and then swings himself up behind you. You immediately snuggle against him, relishing the way his arms wrap around your waist.
The ride back home is wildly different from the one coming. Paz stays human the whole time and you spend the nights under the cover of trees, warmed by camp fire—and each other’s passionate embrace.
During the daylight rides, you two talk of everything under the sun, from your childhoods, to your likes and dislikes, to your hopes for the future.
“There is a chance that our younglings will be werewolves,” Paz says at one point on the second day with unexpected gravity. “I just realized I never shared that with you. I’m sorry.”
You’re neither surprised nor concerned. “I figured from the conversation we had about your family being werewolves. And isn’t it a good thing? We can increase the number.”
“I mean, yes, it’d be wonderful to have more werewolves, but it’s also dangerous. Even though the Empire is technically gone, there are still those out there that want to harm us. Not to mention, raising wolf pups is no easy feat. We’re wild and stubborn.”
You chuckle, leaning your head back against his chest and then looking up into his visor. “I can handle you, can’t I?”
He laughs, glancing around to make sure there are no other travelers, before slipping his helmet up enough so that his mouth is exposed for a kiss.
“Ideally, I’d like to wait until we’re more settled,” he continues. “If you’re all right giving us a little more time.”
“I want our younglings to have a stable place to grow, too.”
He hums softly. “You’re going to be a good mother.”
The affirmation touches you deeply. “Thank you. You’re going to be a good father. A good buir.”
“I like it when you speak Mando’a.”
Guess you’d better hurry up and teach me more,” you grin.
By the third afternoon of your travels, you finally reach Paz’s ship. He offloads the weapons and mechanical supplies. “I’ll start on this first light tomorrow. For now, let’s go to your neighbor’s and speak to him about the farm.”
Your heart sinks into your stomach. You’d wanted to put that off for a little longer. Facing the reality of leaving—even if it’s what you know you need to do—makes your eyes fill.
“I’m with you, cyar’ika,” he murmurs comfortingly, his arms pulling you close to him. “You don’t have to do this part alone.”
Your neighbor is a short, balding middle aged man with a kind but stern disposition. “Hi, Shug,” you say when he opens the door of his small house.
Shug greets you with a smile, although his suspicious gaze is on Paz. “What can I do for you?”
“This is my husband, Paz,” you say, finding it both strange and sweet to say the words.
“Husband?” Shug gawks. “I didn’t know you had a husband!”
“It’s recent,” you smile. “He’s an off-worlder.”
“Gathered that seeing he’s a Mandalorian.”
“Good to meet you,” Paz says politely. “May we come in to discuss business?”
Shug invites you inside and you and Paz sit on the old sofa, which shifts noisily under Paz’s weight. You pray it doesn’t collapse.
“I’m leaving Croria to join Paz’s people. This means I have to sell the farm and my animals. I was wondering if you’d be interested in expanding. I won’t charge much. I just want to make sure my family’s home is honored,” you say, voice trembling with the threat of tears.
Concern softens Shug’s expression. “This must be a difficult decision for you.”
You nod, not trusting yourself to speak. Paz’s fingers massage your back.
“I’d hate to see such a good piece of property go to waste. And it would be nice to have the space to grow my orbak herd even more with your two.”
Clearing your throat, you manage, “Falin was stolen last week. But Jaster’s still a good stud. He’ll give you many babies."
Shug scowls angrily. “Those damn raiders! I’m sorry you lost her.”
Paz leans forward. “Shug, we don’t actually want to sell you Jaster.”
You look at him sharply, confused.
“All the chickens and everything else, yes, but I’d like to pay you to care for him until we have a home with enough stability to bring him to live with us.”
A tear does slip down your cheeks now. You can barely believe it. “Really?”
“You love him. And I want you to have a living piece of your family.” Paz lightly touches your forehead with his before returning his attention to Shug. “You can breed him, of course, in the time being, and I’ll pay you for your trouble to keep him fed and in good health.”
Shug is taking in the expensive beskar armor with a businessman’s glint in his eye. “You’ve got yourself a deal, Mr. Mandalorian.”
- - -
The next few days are blur. Paz works from sun up to sundown fixing his ship while you pack the few belongings you want to bring, including your precious wool store, knitting needles, a good stock pot, and some linens that belonged to your grandmother.
Paz worries about you doing so much of that by yourself while he does his repairs, but you tell him you need the time and space.
On the last night, as you two lay squished in your small bed for the last time, he asks, “How is your heart?”
You take a long moment to answer before giving him a small smile. “Better than I thought it would be. It’s been hard to say goodbye to the only home I’ve ever known, as well as all the hopes and dreams I’ve had here. But there’s a surprising amount of relief, too, in the fresh start.”
He strokes your cheek. “You’re very brave,” he says seriously. You were brave to live all alone on this farm for so long and you’re just as brave to leave it behind. He’s truly in awe of you.
You smile again, nuzzling closer into him. “I am. And I’m proud of myself. None of my recent ancestors ever took such a risk.”
The next morning, you settle in the cockpit of the ship, Paz is surprised how steady your emotions are. He’d been prepared for a lot of anxiety or sadness, and, while there’s a little, you’re mostly just excited.
“Are you ready, cyar’ika?” he asks, buckling his seatbelt.
You grin at him. “I really am.”
He starts the ship. “Our first stop is to get more fuel. Then, it’s onto the covert.”
“Where are they?”
“I know the general system they probably are, but no idea which planet. So, we’re going to have to track them down. All buckled in?” He scans you to make sure you’re still securely strapped in.
“For the third time, yes.” Behind your eye roll, the Wolf senses the happiness that he cares so much.
“Time for lift-off!” Paz engages the thrusters and the ship leaves the ground.
In a matter of seconds, it’s heading straight for the atmosphere, and the two of you are off on the next great adventure of your lives.

Thank you SO much for reading this story; I'd love to hear your thoughts! 🥰
Eeeeee! For your prompt celebration! What about Paz and his love’s wedding feast back with his people? Man has to make good on his promise to hold up her wedding traditions toooooo and a bunch of drunk Mandos? Sounds extra fun! 🙌
Ahhh, thank you, Heather! I've written a short one shot about the feelings that come up for Reader as she prepares and goes to her wedding feast. Enjoy! 😘
“Don’t fidget,” Nafi scolds mildly as she makes the finishing adjustments to your wedding feast dress. The seamstress has been hired to create the garment for you to wear tonight and she’s determined to make it fit perfectly.
You force yourself to go still. The layers of thick red and white fabric are heavy, making your already-nervous body sweat even more.
The traditional Crorian bride’s dress is elaborate, with a fitted, embroidered bodice that’s tightest just below the bust and a long skirt that flares out dramatically until it hits the ground. Gauzy sleeves cinch just above your wrists, leaving room for the bangles adorning them.
“All done.” Nafi straightens, hands resting lightly on your shoulders to turn you around to face the mirror.
You stare at yourself in wonder. The woman looking back at you is far more beautiful than you realized she could be. You could be.
Slowly, you twist from side to side, watching as the skirt flows around your body. The bracelets at your wrists tinkle delicately. “It’s gorgeous,” you breathe. “I can’t believe it’s mine.”
The spell is broken when there’s a knock on the bedroom door. Nafi sighs impatiently at the interruption. “Yes?” she calls through the door.
“Paz wants to know if he’s allowed to come in yet,” Din’s voice says with a mixture of apology and annoyance. He’s likely getting tired of being the go-between while you prepare.
You fix a bit of stray hair. “He can.” You sound more breathless than you expect. You really hope he likes how you look, too.
Nafi smiles at you. “I’ll give you some privacy. Walk about the room a bit to make sure everything feels right.”
“Thank you,” you smile back.
After she’s left, Paz enters, wearing his full armor. It’s been polished until it gleams.
He stops just beyond the doorway, silently looking at you for long enough that you start to get self-conscious. “Is it too much?”
Shutting the door with his foot, Paz pulls off his helmet. He’s beaming. “You’re stunning! Let me see the whole thing.”
Pride now fills you as you spin for him. The skirt billows out in a perfect circle. Despite the dress’s weight, it is designed to allow plenty of space for dancing and to look incredible while doing it.
Paz steps forward, catching your hand and raising it above your head so he can twirl you. “This dress is fit for the queen you are,” he purrs, leaning down to nip lightly at your jaw.
You giggle at his ticklish breath. “Maybe we could just stay in here tonight.”
He shakes his head, eyes gentle. “I want to honor our union with your culture. Besides, if we didn’t show up, Din would murder us. Apparently, he had to call in some long-held favor over the tablecloths or some bullshit.”
“Over tablecloths?” What kind of table clothes did he get?
Paz waves a dismissive hand. “Tablecloths, the food, who knows? I’d stopped listening.”
You roll your eyes. “He’s gone to a huge amount of effort for us. The least you could do is listen to him.”
Din, as the leader of the covert and Paz’s Mandalorian brother, took it upon himself to throw this party as soon as a new home had been found. He’d gone to great lengths over the last few months to make sure it’ll be as much like your home’s wedding feasts as possible. It was one of the kindest things anyone had ever done for you, and you will always be grateful to him for it.
Paz chuckles. “Don’t worry, he doesn’t know I wasn’t listening.”
“Oh, he knows. Just like I do.” You poke him in the chest.
He laughs again, kissing you soundly.
There’s another knock on the door. “Everyone’s arriving,” Din says briskly. “Vok’ika needs to finish getting ready.”
Butterflies fill your stomach again at the idea of the dozens of people from your covert gathering with a focus on you and Paz. “Okay,” you manage to get out, sounding strained.
Paz’s eyes grow soft and serious, a calloused finger tilting your chin up. “Let yourself be witnessed tonight, cyare. You deserve it.”
His confidence makes you smile. “I’ll see you there.”
A short while later, after Nafi’s finished the final alterations to your dress and gone to tell Din you’re ready, you hear the drums start, signaling the bride’s approach is imminent.
As you walk, knees a wobbly, out of your home and to the field that’s been set up for the feast, your mind drifts back to your childhood when you were a guest at wedding feasts. You’d watch the drummers and dreamed about when that would be you.
After so many years alone and then your community on Croria slowly dissolving, you’d given up on that dream, but here you are, the drums playing for your entrance.
Confidence fills you, legs growing solid and back straightening. Some of the Mandalorians wear helmets, like Din and Paz, but most do not. The feeling of so many eyes on you isn’t frightening any longer, it’s liberating. You do deserve to be witnessed tonight.
Paz is standing behind a chair at the center of the largest table, his armor reflecting the orange glow of the bonfires around the space. When you reach the empty spot next to him, the drummers soften the music, letting it fade into the background.
He leans his forehead down to touch yours briefly before picking up his knife and fork and slicing off a small bite of meat. Even though you can’t see his face, you feel his excitement and tenderness as he raises the fork to your lips. “I give you the first cut of my meat and the first sip of my wine from now until fate destines we be forever parted.”
You take the meat from the fork, allowing the nourishment of both his vow and the food to fill you. Next, you take a sip of the wine he offers you from his cup.
Now, it’s your turn to give your promise to him. You slip a sliver of meat up to his mouth. “I give you the first cut of my meat and the first sip of my wine from now until fate destines we be forever parted.” Then, you manage to get some wine into his mouth, thankful that Din had suggested slim glasses.
After he’s swallowed, Paz takes your hand and links your fingers together. “I love you,” he whispers so only you can hear.
“Ni kar’tayl gar darasuum,” you whisper back, pleased by how easily that Mando’a sentence flows from you now.
Taking a satisfied breath, Paz raises your linked hands up in the air and turns to your guests. “Eat, burc’yas! Then, we dance!”

🥳🥳 I’m having a celebration! Check it out and send me a prompt/HC request! 🥳🥳
Okay so the the Crash Prompt Celebration I’d love to see a little drabble or your HCs for how Paz helps reader around the farm? Maybe in or out of his wolf form?
OR (if that doesn’t tickle your fancy)
How he would comfort her when she gets anxious about meeting his tribe/clan?
And if neither of these tickle your fancy that is totally fine 😂 I can’t wait to read the rest of the series when it’s released! 🥰
Aeryn, thank you so much for the ask! 😍
Please enjoy the HC of Paz helping Reader on their new farm!
When the covert finally finds a place to settle, you and Paz purchase a large plot of land so you can begin farming. While trading in nearby towns is an option, you’re not comfortable relying solely on others to feed your family.
Paz didn’t grow up in an agricultural community, so farming is new to him, but he’s more than eager to learn. And you waste no time in putting his large, muscular frame to good use.
He’s excellent at installing fences, easily digging post holes or stringing the barbed wire with his leather gloves and baskar-covered arms.
You particularly enjoy watching him haul the posts. He throws a few over his massive shoulders and then struts to the holes, knowing you’re watching him. You make sure to whistle every time he goes by. There’s a lot of sex those weeks.
When it’s time to focus on creating the raised beds, you expertly craft a nutrient-dense soil mix for them. And enlist the Wolf during the full moon to mix it. He’s thrilled to have an excuse to play in the dirt.
The Wolf is also excellent at digging the holes for larger fruits and vegetables. His big paws can get a whole potato bed done in a fraction of the time it’d take you with a trowel.
You do learn that supervision is required because, one time, he got on such a roll that he dug up all the carrot seeds you’d planted earlier that day.
Once you have chickens, you quickly get back on a schedule of going out to feed them early in the morning. Sometimes, though, Paz slips back into bed just as you’re waking. He kisses you, murmuring, “Already fed the chickens. Go back to sleep.” And you happily do so, nestled against his warm chest.
As your farm expands, so do the duties you share. Paz’s eager assistance makes you wonder how the hell you ever did it alone for so long. And it makes you eternally grateful you don’t have to anymore.
