Summary: Chase finds out why Angus has hidden so well and learns how to fight against someone as strong as Anti. When things go wrong, how will they survive?
After a few months, things were getting worse, the egos were struggling in their fight against Anti, even losing one to his side.
After so much struggling, Chase remembered that someone had offered him help. He took a deep breath, and during the middle of the night, ran off into the woods.
It was hard to find, but after searching for several hours the young father found the woods and ventured in, unsure what he would find. The longer he wondered, the uneasy he got, the constant crunching of leaves under his shoes and the odd creature calls being things he wasn’t used to.
The odd sound of panting was also extremely uncomfortable, which was why the young man was trying to hide in the bushes along the path. He shivered when he heard a low dog-like growl. He trembled as he listened, covering his neck and put his head in his knees, trying to protect himself.
“Yer safe Chase. So long as ‘M he’e, yer safe,” an Australian accent gently calls as a gentle, yet calloused hand is placed on Chase's head. He jumped before looking up at the...older? Ego.
“Angus! How’d you find me?”
“The pros of the community takin’ ya in is that they say what ya are~” Angus purrs before taking off his vest and put it on the other male’s shoulders. Chase raised a brow before watching and wincing as Angus shifted into a large black wolf.
“What the fuck,” Chase says in awe, backing away just slightly before laughing softly and smiling as he held his hand up to gently pet Angus’ head. The wolf chuffed but let the other male touch him, letting him take it in before leading him deeper into the woods.
As they walked, Chase couldn’t help but notice how tall Angus was as a wolf. He reached about to his lower ribs, which was very tall given that he was five foot ten.
“Uh, Angus?”
The large wolf looked up at the young father, still walking but showing him that he had his attention.
“I need you to train me. Things are getting worse at home and I want to help everyone. Do you think you can?”
The wolf was quiet as they walked, looking down as it thought things over before giving a smirk and looked back at Chase before growling and ran in a random direction, startling Chase and made him run after him.
“Angus wait up!”
After a few minutes longer, the young father found himself in a large clearing, the waning crescent moon risen above the field and giving a very limited amount of light. Still, the ego was able to make out the large wolf. Or rather, some of his outline.
“Angus?”
“This is where we will train. Only you will have access here. Fae are tricksters, but my scent on ya now~ They’ll leave ya ‘lone,” the wolf says before standing up and turned to face Chase.
“Somethin’s comin’ for the family. I can’t go fight, ‘m not strong ‘nough, but you? With some trainin’ ye’ll do just fine.”
“Me? No, I’m just a divorced dad. There’s nothing special about me,” Chase protests, holding his hands out, gasping as a pale blue light surrounded them.
“Really lad? Then how’d the fae find ya? How’d they call for ya as a kid? Only the special ones can see this place. Yer one of them. Those who aren’t human, half breeds we call ‘em. Yer gonna have a fun time ‘ere. And when we finish yer trainin’? That glitch bitch’ll have a real reason t’ be ‘fraid~”
