So I've been rereading Magnus Chase, and anyone who says Magnus *didn't* like Alex did not pay attention. That dude is infatuated with Alex's existence. I love Fierrochase. I love reading Fierrochase. But when every single description of Alex is "I looked into their deeply unsettling heterochromatic eyes that stared through me" or "Alex was reserved. I didn't like when people were reserved, but I respect people, so I figured I'd slowly be one part of Alex's circle so Alex could open slowly up to me" and whatnot. Never is Alex described as "attractive" but the thing is, Magnus doesn't describe really anyone that way. Magnus does describe people in a way that not so subtly tells you what you he thinks of them, though.
