In which everyone dies, but it’s not necessarily a bad thing

"Well this sucks." Wes stated aloud.

It had been a normal day at Casper high. Well, as normal as could be when you lived in the most haunted city in the country.

Math sucked, English put half the sophomore class to sleep (great expectations is a horror no human should have to sit through), and Box Ghost showed up half through lunch period.

See, normal.

The only stand-out thing was the planned class tour of Fenton Works scheduled after lunch.

It was supposed to be an excersize in ghost preparedness and weapons-defense training, but as with anything involving the Fentons- nothing was simple or easy.

"Shut it boo-berry!" Dash screamed in response. "I can't make it to the NFL like this! They'll never let someone in who clashes this much with the team colors!!"

"At least you have some sort of color! I look like one of my grandmother's old photos. Black and white is so last year." Paulina cried out.

Danny looked at his class in shock. It wouldn't be long until they noticed he'd stayed exactly the same after the explosion.

It wasn't every day your classmates got into a fight, slammed into the portals paneling, and made the damn thing fire out some sort of blinding green light at everyone.

He thanked the Ancients his parents had left to grab something they'd forgotten in the GAV, and found himself praying that everyone before him had only half-died.

He opened his mouth to grab everyone's attention when the person he least wanted to hear cried out.

"I TOLD YOU GUYS HE WAS PHANTOM! Ha! I was right! Suck it, Val!!" Wes screamed, pointing at him and doing a fist pump.

Danny looked down at himself. When had he gone ghost? Fantastic. Just wonderful.

He felt everyone's eyes on him, expectant for a moment before the questions started flying.

"Uh so hi. Uh. Surprise??"

This was gonna be a long day, but hopefully he could get the class to change back before his parents returned.

this might be kinda niche but i wish age regression in fanfic was written more realistically/with more emphasis on it being an actual irl coping mechanism. obviously people can write whatever they want but i wish the majority of agere fics weren't 'littles are known'/'classification' AUs, not that there's anything wrong with them, i just feel like there should be separate tags or smth for real life age regression vs fantasy. not to mention there isn't an agere tag separate from de-aging, so a lot of fics are tagged with non sexual age play instead, which i just find a bit icky. idk just my thoughts
