Wants to run wet fingers down his face and tell himself it wouldn’t be like last time. How is he meant to do that if he can’t see the facet, the counter, the kitchen, the floor underneath him? He doesn’t even feel it anymore.

All it takes is a blink. Then he’s alone in the universe again.
