Spoilers for the new “Whacked Off” short below.

To me it solidified, more than anything we’ve seen, that Moxxie looks to Blitzø as the tough/but-loving father figure he never had growing up.

Someone can have a job literally killing people but still be a kind and loving person, and IMP is proof of that, but that concept didn’t fully hit Moxxie.

Even though Blitzø didn’t have much of a role in this episode, there were so many parallels to him being a figure in Moxxie’s life who could heal his attachment pattern through showing protection, respect, and affection.

Moxxie became employed by his dad early in life, so he never had the opportunity to distinguish between “employer” and “caregiver.” When Blitzø comes into his life and is genuinely a person who wants to care for others (sometimes in his own overbearing way), of course Mox might respond negatively at first.

But now, when Mox calls Blitzø “sir”, it’s no longer about power and fear and intimidation. It’s about a genuine respect.

My Slightly Unhinged, Unfiltered Thoughts on Mission: Whacked Off!

HOOOOOOOOLY shit biscuits, this FUCKING EPISODE. This is easily my favorite short they've done, although that might just be because I'm so biased towards Moxxie and his tragic backstory. So here are My Thoughts™️:

First off, the fact that Blitz intentionally chose for Moxxie to go on this mission is just...ahhhh so many things

Like was he just being Blitz or did he think Moxxie needed to see this in order to deal with his own trauma???

I love how much the Paseanos look like human versions of Moxxie and Crimson, great parallel

I love the whole gag of Moxxie talking as the angel

The way he spoke was hilarious and also very Moxxie

Also, "I'm Catholic or something" 10/10

MOXXIE'S REACTIONS WHILE BEHIND THE STATUE. ALL OF THEM. JUST. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

Also "WHAT THE FUCK-ETH WAS THAT?!" has now been permanently added to my vocabulary thank you very much

Moxxie's reaction when the two men talk about family and the ANGER when Luigi ends up not caring about leaving the life of crime LIKE MOXXIE

AND THE "TAKE CARE OF YOUR MOTHER FOR ME"?! ARE YOU KIDDING?!

I love that Moxxie did not even HESITATE to kill Luigi

THAT FUCKING SCENE OF HIM SAYING HE'S DEAD. So simple but so brilliant. And him dressed up and looking like Crimson??? ahdjkfhsdf

And his talk with Millie aaaaaaaaaaaah

"I thought he needed to be...he didn't need to be" BYE I'M OFFICIALLY DEAD RESUSCITATE ME PLEASE

AND THE END CREDITS OMG

I love how much it feels like a real, boring conversation a married couple would have

Like it's startingly similar to when I'm trying to make small talk with my parents and their friends

It triggered something in me and I love it

Ok I'm officially done doing edits of my sinner design for this skunk haired "maroon" 😂 kinda sick of it, but that final one on the right reminds me of Kermit the dog who was like a small part of my inspo for choosing Italian Greyhounds as part of Paulie's sinner design.

Probably my favorite of all the edits I've done, just for that reason alone.

Anyone else notice the inconsistencies of how he's drawn throughout the short? (Finger tips, face shape, thickness of eyebrows and eyelashes) kinda funny lol

Reminded me of that one episode in the later seasons of Steven universe when the art style changed like halfway thru the ep and it made it look like the characters got shrunk by being goomba stomped or something 🤭
