Can you imagine how weird it must’ve felt for Penelope to see all these younger men—many of whom she literally probably held on her lap as babies or children—burst into her house to vie for her hand and her husband’s throne?? That’s the equivalent of your friend’s son proposing to you while your husband is on a business trip. Just think about it. Like, how embarrassing for them. Hey, I just realized. While Jayce and Viktor were tearing their hair out over whether or not to weaponize Hextech in season 1, they were too late already. Somebody had already weaponized it, before it was even officially adopted by Piltover somebody had weaponized it.

Before the gauntlets, before the hex claw, hexgates, before Jayce and Viktor’s testing rig, the first device we see actively utilizing hextech crystals is Powder’s monkey. The first usable device ever built with hextech crystals was a bomb.
