What is a ‘weekend?’
When someone schedules an important interdepartmental meeting on a holiday weekend Friday that you would have normally taken off, and you change your schedule to accommodate it.
Then the meeting gets canceled morning-of because the organizer forgot that it was a holiday weekend and “ a lot of you were probably hoping to get out of here early,” and all of the behind-the-scenes, 9-5 staff are like
But you’ll be at the museum all weekend because you work in programs.
Long holiday weekend, indeed.

Andrew sat and talked with me while I did most of my food prep tonight. I kept complaining that I was tired and I wanted to just quit but obviously kept going. I used to quit things so easily. Mostly jobs where I had no control over my day. Now that I'm working for myself it seems like REALLY quitting never comes across my mind at all. I know that if I get things done the pay off is amazing. If you ever have the chance and means to work for yourself then DO IT!
