morninggg, I’m gonna be straight up here and say I don’t really think I do fluffy drarry? So I’m not sure this will hit the spot BUT I’m feeling reccy and these are fics that I find satisfying and comforting when I’m in an emotional pickle:
1. The Vanishing Department - @dictacontrion (48k, E)
The things we lose have a way of coming back to us in the end, even if that involves a lot more form-filling, bickering, covert glancing, miscommunication, and flying furniture than we might expect.
2. A convenient Impracticality - @firethesound (38K, E)
Somehow Harry ends up agreeing to a fake relationship with his ex-nemesis-turned-friendly-acquaintance-with-benefits, except for some reason it involves an awful lot of actual dating and, sadly, not much sex. Confused? Harry is too, but when has anything with Draco Malfoy ever been as straightforward as it seems?
3. An Act of Kindness for One Harry Potter by a Sympathetic Draco Malfoy - oidontknowo (16k, E)
As Draco leaned on the wall to wait for them to get dressed, he could not help feeling like he had done a very kind thing by disrupting them. Someone should give Potter a better rogering than that sorry sod had. The man had saved the bloody world—okay, mostly Europe—the least someone could do was give him a proper shag.
4. Weeds or Wildflowers - @lqtraintracks & @unmistakablyoatmeal (17K, E)
A perfect match, a romance for the ages, with a one hundred percent success rate! Magic Match claims they can give Draco all of this. So why do they keep sending him on dates with Harry Potter?
5. The Frisky Furnishings of Malfoy Manor - @writcraft (20K, E)
The course of true love never did run smooth.
Or: Hermione has a crafty plan, Harry and Draco are fake boyfriends and wizarding traditions have a lot to answer for. Featuring awkward dates, mince pies, a saucy sofa and a line of sequined house-elf haute couture nobody asked for but got anyway.
6. Here Be Dragons - birdsofshore (22K, E)
Harry doesn’t want to waste his time investigating illegal dragonhide trading, whether it involves a fetish club in Knockturn Alley or visiting a remote island in Wales. Why the bloody hell does Malfoy always have to be up to something?
7. Bricks & Mortar - @doubleappled (19K, E)
Diagon Alley is undergoing a major revitalisation, and Hermione convinces Harry to be a part of it. He has zero interest in his appallingly fit, completely infuriating, blond-haired-and-grey-eyed neighbour… but his brand-new magical bookshop has other plans.
(I also realised half way that some of these are not really that long, but whatever, length is subjective and I already have 500 tabs open I can’t handle opening more LMAO sozzles)
