The fact that Jared says a lot of questionable and disrespectful things tends to be glossed over in fandom because of how kind and goofy he is otherwise and how genuine he seems to be with fans. It’s super uncomfortable.

That's the thing with famous people, isn't it - no matter what they say or do, there's always someone who'll rush to their defense (OR turn a blind eye to their bullshit), be it their loyal fans or other celebrities and big shots.
