Honored to help shine a light on the legacy of Sarah Rector, a young Black girl who became an oil millionaire at just 11 years old and whose story still inspires generations of dreamers, builders, and changemakers today. ✨

Sarah Rector became one of the wealthiest people in the US after oil was discovered on her Oklahoma land in 1913, was legally deemed "white" by state officials. This classification allowed her to bypass Jim Crow laws, enabling her to use first-class, whites-only train carriages.
