rarely there’s Johnny Truant haters that accuse the author of putting in a self-insert protag/projecting his deepest desires onto Truant. and what kills me is that ‘Johnny Truant is influenced by M”’Z’”D’s life’ is not wrong, but is actually a fact: Mark’s own time in Europe had him writing poems during his trip, something he included into House of Leaves and implying Johnny wrote them. and it could be an interesting discussion but instead there’s people that go “oh johnny is thinks misogynistic thoughts therefore the author must also be Bad” and it’s so annoyinggg
