Some kid I passed on the way home from work called me ugly today, so I right I'd post a selfie. Left is me today, no filter, no makeup. Right is an older picture where I'd gotten a little bit glammed up. The kid, who I most likely will never meet (but probably will pass on the street again) didn't just say one offhand comment but actually yelled out the window of his school bus several times since they were in traffic and passed by me THREE times. Do I care what this kid thinks of me? No. I care that he was trying to spread his hate onto me. So the side by side here is to prove a point--how you look on one day or to one person does not reflect your appearance in a larger sense. More importantly, how you look on any day does not dictate your value.
