I actually didn’t realize this meme prompted people to send me asks, nor did I expect anyone to be interested enough to ask. Wow. Ok.

Kunnes päässä räjähtää (Until the head explodes) is a fic that I writing for a Kink Bingo’s square prompting me for “Crossdress”. It’s a sort of a spin-off of a fic where Professor Litefoot, age 93 and Mr. Jago, age 88, turn back into 23-ish and 18-ish and are also whisked back into 1850′s, where Jago is very actively taking roles in Victorian pantomimes. Smut ensues.

It’s kinda in a hold tho as is, cos like, I got really stuck with the fact that Litefoot kinda sorta had a severe depressive episode going on this time in his youth and I find it difficult to balance between rather serious mental health streak, talking about suicidal thoughts and such - and yet it was supposed to be funny romp where Jago wears a dressis as buggered in the arse so you know xDDD

I dunno, it may or may not happen at this rate.

12) your weaknesses as an author

As I mentioned in 6), sometimes I prioritize style over substance. Like, I write a lot of poetry in my spare time and sometimes I infuse my prose with more poetical devices than maybe I should, given the content. Fine line to walk, I guess :(

I know I share my perfectionism with many, many other writers (god bless our souls) and there’s no shortage of lamentation on the subject. But it really is one of the most discouraging things about writing. I’ve been working on my Cassian series for a couple months now and it just takes forever, because I find myself endlessly refining the plot, pacing, characterization, and little details that pull together a story - I haven’t even written the first chapter bc I’m too intent on its perfection :(((

13) your strengths as an author

This is barely not a weakness but probably my knack for self-criticism. Obviously it can get unhealthy but in the times when I can keep it more or less in check, it forces me to be aware of my weaknesses and how to ameliorate them. Like yeah my brain is fucked up but at least it’s given me a passion for self-improvement

I know the polite practice in English is to always answer questions of how are you with very fine thank you, how are you, but excuse my Finnish and say that it wasn’t the best day, the best weekend nor a week.
