Re: Peekablue, a big chunk of my reasoning was that I couldn't recall seeing any male characters using runestone-derived magic (as opposed to the glyph-based sorcery we see e.g. Micah using) and as farsight seemed to be unique to Peekablue I felt it was probably from a runestone. If connection to a runestone passes down the "female" line of descent (so most commonly mother -> daughter) and Peekablue is the only prince we ever hear of /and/ the only guy who we ever see tap into (1/2)

runestone magic then it would make sense that's because he's a trans guy. The problem with that is that it's making a dozen assumptions about how magic works, and that it's more likely that the reason we don't see more princes is that there just aren't many male characters in the show. Other generations of runestone users could have had any combination of genders, and that the current one is predominantly women doesn't it's not possible, just that we haven't seen it happen on screen.

Oh, sure, that makes sense. Depending on your interpretation/headcanons about the offscreen rules for magic, either one could work fine.

I really wish Peekablue had come back later in the season to give us more to go on! But no such luck :(

Only a She-Ra related question in the loosest possible sense, but are there any other characters (from other works) you've found as engaging as/in the same way as Hordak? Partly for curiosity's sake, partly as a not-so-subtle request for recommendations.

Once upon a time, about... um.... seven years ago? Yes. Seven. I watched Transformers Prime. And I dearly loved Starscream.

There are still some followers of this blog who are veterans from those days, bless them. 

Now, I don’t recommend TFP. It ended poorly for Star, and I swore off of it. Like I will swear off of SPoP should Hordak die. 

I don’t... hm. I don’t really recommend any character or show. In the vein of Hordak. I’m not... I’m not sure how it happens that I bond to a character this way. It’s not predictable. It’s not even something I encourage, really, because it’s very emotionally taxing. I mean, I actually try to avoid it, when possible.   

This is probably not a very good answer, but it’s what I’ve got.

Getting a dog! Just need to get the backyard fenced and then we’re in business.  

9. who did you last see in person?

My in-laws! They stopped by on my birthday to give me a pair of hand-knitted socks in lovely rainbow colors. We all stood outside and they tossed me the package from a responsible distance away haha

20. what is your favourite song at the moment?

My favorite song will probably always be 39, by Queen, but the song I put on in the background while I write these days is mostly Ghost, by Kate Rusby. So, probably that’s my favorite non-39 song at the moment!
