"Don’t you look out of place. Here for a holiday, I take it?”

She doesn’t have a whole lot to say to him—he’s a married man & she sure as fuck doesn’t want to mess with that. With, apparently, children too. Nope, definitely not her thing. Especially when she’s kicking a dead body into a portal to—you fucking guessed it, bud—the blender dimension. (Plus, she already gave him a gift! What more could he want?) Perhaps she would be more friendly if she hadn’t just come down from the Yvanian version of cocaine. “Look, I don’t get why you bother with ‘checking in’ on someone like me. I’m a piece of shit, but I’m always fine.”

“I’m not so sure laying on the ground is the best place. Feet usually go there.” Adam could definitely understand the benefit of a good lay down, but this... seemed an inopportune place.
“You could get stepped on, you know.” He continues, casually prodding at the mans side with his foot.

When Mortimer said he was taking Morty home, Morty hadn’t expected him to take him here.
He thought maybe Mortimer would take him back to his own house. But that was probably a bit harder to do than one would think. Especially since Morty hadn’t been too familiar with the concept of space travel anyways. And he had no idea what his ‘number’ was. Or why he even needed one.
He supposed it would be okay for now though. He really liked Mortimer. He made the smaller feel safe. Plus he was funny.
... Morty just hoped his parents were doing okay without him.
Morty sighed, and after looking down at the sleeping Mortimer silently, he then decided that sitting around was getting kinda boring. So after giving a gentle pat to Mortimer’s head, the toddler climbed off the bed quietly before making his way out of the other’s room and up the stairs.
Maybe he could watch TV or something until he felt sleepy.
With this thought, the toddler finally made it up the stairs, and as he went to make his way into the living room, he paused when he saw an older individual going to make his way over to the couch.
Morty’s eyes widened then.
Was that... Was that HIS grandpa?? He’d seen so many the past day or so, he wasn’t sure anymore.
“G-Grampa Rick?” The toddler suddenly piped up, making his way a bit closer to the other individual.
Unfortunately, as the other came closer, he quickly realized that this WASN’T the person he thought he was. And the little one’s hopeful expression fell.
“O-Oh um... S-Sorry.. I thought you were... I-I thought you were my grampa.”
"single and ready to take a 20 year nap."
❄ THE SAYING GOES → CLOSED !!
“why take a twenty year nap when you can take a twenty-hundred year nap… that’s a number, right?”
SANS smiles that trademark lazy grin, chuckling to himself as he pillows his skull in the shelf of his skeletal hand. His other hand draws lazy circles on the wooden surface of his sentry stand, looping around in tired figure-eights.
“hey, why don’tcha join me for a quick nap? just about that time anyhow.”
After all, the lackadaisical skeleton required a good cat nap every few hours or so.
