I miss foods.
I miss wheat the most. 🌾🥐🥖

Does anyone have any experience with their dog and wheat allergy/intolerance? It's been about two years since we've put him on a mainstream grain-free diet, but with all the problems reported by the fda the vet is recommending a prescription diet, which is nearly a hundred dollars a bag on chewy. So we're going to try a hail mary with just a small batch of some regular dog food and see how he reacts to it because just maybe he was reacting to something completely randomly else when we took him off regular food, or maybe he's managed to get over it. Has anyone who's had their dog have a gastrointestinal reaction to wheat had their dog get over it? We'll buy the science diet if we have to but we are really desperate with all the other future expenses. We'll know in the next few days if his cancer test came back positive.
Anyone out there with a wheat or gluten intolerance (as in, not Celiac's)? I've been tracking my calorie consumption and I'm constantly under my calorie goal to lose weight, but I constantly look and feel bloated. I'm also having a tough time with breakouts. I'm under a lot of stress, but I wonder if eating wheat is causing the bloating and especially the skin issues.
Anyone else find this a side effect? What can I eat for clearer skin? I have been trying to use natural products since my face doesn't do well with salicylic acid but nothing really fits the bill.
Hey friends OUTSIDE of the United States: do you struggle with issues of wheat and gluten intolerance/allergy or celiacs? I'm curious as to see if this is an international problem, or just something largely isolated to the United States. If you do or don't have issues with it, can you comment below with your answer and your country? Thanks.
I want to make some French food but I feel like a lot of it is animal-based, either with main courses centering on meat or a heavy use of milk and dairy. I eat sustainable fish (on occasion) but my body's reaction to dairy has become pretty awful, so I can't do that much anymore. Is there any hope to find anything suitable and filling? I do eat eggs, but other than fish (approved by the Monterey Bay Sustainable Fish Guide), I'm all plant based. I gladly and openly encourage and welcome any recipes you have for me. P.S. I also can't eat wheat. Pure sadness, I know. I didn't choose the wheat-free life, the wheat-fee life chose me.
So one of my sisters-in-law very kindly ordered me a single tea break activity subscription box because they do a gluten free version. It got lost in the mail & when she contacted them they said they would resend it and the following month’s one. The first one turns up and contains a couple of gluten free sweet treats, a couple of fancy teabags, badges, scented tea lights, and a prompts journal with pencils.
Today the second one turned up and I told my mum she could open it. Immediately hit by the smell of lavender. She pulls out a couple of gluten free sweet treats, some fancy teabags and then says “is this wheat?” whilst holding a small hessian bag. Pulling out the instructions we discover that this month’s activity is making a microwaveable wheat hand warmer.
Glad my wheat intolerant self didn’t open my gluten free subscription box to find a bag of my nemesis. My mum can have the whole thing because I’m not playing the cross contamination game.
I’ve spoken to my sister-in-law and she is going to contact the small business.
