This thing was originally for the Sonic AU Collision, which sadly didn't end up happening, so I forgot to post it. But this whole piece was an absolute blast to draw, especially Angel Shadow! Heβs got such a complicated design. I forced myself to actually draw his hand and I think it paid off! It was also really funny to draw Demon Sonic with his arms on since I usually him without them.

Aside from Starline, are there other IDW original characters youβre particularly fond of? (Same question in regard to Archie, if youβd like :D)
OOOOOOO A VERY GOOD QUESTION!!! I really love Whisper and Mimic especially. Their designs and dynamic are endlessly fascinating to me and I love it when we get to see them. ESPECIALLY Mimic. I need to dissect him. As for Archie! (I know exactly who you're fishing for here XD ) ECLIPSE!!! I don't need to tell you why he's interesting. He's always stood out to me so much and hhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaa we were so robbed, he should have had so much more. I also REALLY love Scourge and Shard the Metal Sonic aaaaaaaaaaaa I miss them. I've got plans to repurpose Shard for my Sonic-verse but I haven't quiiiite figured out Scourge yet. He's gonna be there though! And Eclipse will too :D
What's something that Jonouchi, Honda, and Yami like to do together... other than game? What silly shenanigans do those boys get up to when they're left unsupervised... because we all know that there HAVE BEEN shenanigans. π
(Oh and also if you wanna drop a tease for the next WIEAYB fic I would not object to that either hehehehe.)
Honda's dad owns a mechanics shop so he's got a ton of random tools laying around. So you might be able to guess what Yami, Yugi, Jonouchi, and Honda like to mess around with when they're over there. XD The four of them also love to visit random restaurants and have a goal to rank every single one in Domino, no matter how obscure. They've had a very interesting mix of the best food they've ever tasted, to absolute garbage, and everything in between. And Jonouchi being the trouble magnet he is has gotten them into more than a few Situations that Honda and Yami have to help resolve.
Also, I don't know if this is something he'd do with anyone else or just on his own, but I think Yamiβs started experimenting with woodburning. Cause he's gotta have a way to channel his little pyromaniac self somehow XD
Anyway, here's a little snippet of Yugi and Yami starting to realize that they've been connected even before Yugi solved the Puzzle >:]
Been swirling around ideas of Pippin post-quest. One of the two hobbits that did in fact stare Sauron in the face. Not a fun time.
(also, I did in fact write my own poem this time. Not a common occurance for me whatsoever. Shout out to my poet friend who lovingly pointed out several glaring grammar mistakes that I sadly would not have caught. She's the best)

Warped Perspective AU:
Eclipse the Darkling is a weapon. A weapon to be used. Nothing more. And thereβs nothing else heβd rather be. Heβs sure of thatβ¦when did he become sure of that? Right. When Shadow became a problem again. Eclipse thought they could finally be brothers, it was what he wanted from the start. Now, though, heβs been shown the βtruthβ about why Shadow or anyone else accepted him in the first place. To use him. Manipulate him. And when the time came? Kill him. So how foolish of Eclipse, to think he should do anything other than he was made for! This time, he will kill Shadow, and avenge his kind, even if it takes the help of the only mortal he trusts to do it. When and why did he begin to trust him? Didnβt he hate Starline beforeβ¦? Doesnβt matter anymore. Eclipse will do anything to fulfill his intended purpose. Anything.
Shadow, on the other hand, is being forced to come to terms with all the things heβd tried to push away for the longest time after Eclipse goes missing. The truce made between him and Eclipse (with the help of Sonic, annoyingly) was messy, but whether Shadow wanted to admit it or not, it led to a bond later down the line. It led to Shadowβ¦caring about that little alien. Genuinely. Even nowadays he can feel conflicted about that part, given all that happened in the past, everything with the black armsβ¦and if thereβs something Shadow is NOT good at, itβs being open about anything. The roles are reversed after Eclipseβs rescue, with Shadow (in his own special Shadow way) attempting to bring back a bond that currently doesnβt exist, and Eclipse wanting nothing more than his βbrotherβ to face his downfall. Even the dark arms arenβt too fond of Shadow right now. And though he feels Eclipse has every right to hate him, Shadow is determined to put Starlineβs influence over this whole situation to an end. The question remains: how?

Sonic the Hedgehog, now known worldwide as the iconic Blue Blur, finds being a famous superhero to beβ¦not what he'd expected. After spending most of his life on the sidelines, he's not exactly used to being the center of attention. It's a bit more than he can handle, but he manages to anyway, because being a hero is about being responsible.
That's just the way it was, and he doesn't expect anything to change. Until what he thought would be a repeat of his usual routine ends in total disaster.
The Chaos Emeralds, seven legendary gems of ultimate power, are drained and left uselessβand Sonic is left with a transformative affliction.
Now when the sun goes down, a darker and wilder side of Sonic is unleashed. It's bigger, tougher, furrierβand dangerous. Between Sonic and this beast he's become, the difference is night and day.
As Sonic struggles to come to terms with the "condition" he now has, everything around him seems to be getting shakierβliterally. With the strange tremors around the world getting worse, it becomes clear that something dark has been awakened. And if the Chaos Emeralds aren't restored soon, there could be world-shattering consequences.
Dya think Jou habitually hides injuries? A few bruised ribs, a hand that went numb from being shocked and takes days to get feeling back, burns along his legs, none of it is real if he doesnβt let it show. (None of it is a vulnerability that can be pressed in a fight.) (none of it is worth bothering his friends about. Besides, why should he worry them?
